i feel like there isn't enough discussion about troll society in relationship to asexuality and aromanticism!!! ive never personally stumbled across ANY kind of art/analysis about it in the homestuck fandom, and that makes me so sad because theres so much potential.

troll society isn't just amatonormative bro, you can literally get slaughtered for not freaking it twice per sweep. CRAZY work. if you're sex repulsed, you really dont have a lot of options. and we can see this carries through even culturally!!! in the quadrant info dump section, the narrator explains how in troll culture, every troll is believed to have a predestined soulmate for each of their quadrants, just like in human culture. this shit is baked in.

aro/ace trolls are probably the closest thing to the human conception of being gay, from an oppression stand point. The aphobia isn't even subtle dude theyre just gutting people out here. growing up ace or aro as a HUMAN fucking sucks, dude how do you think a troll would feel. alienated (hehe), probably! if i were to guess! and i haven't even touched on platonic attraction, or other forms of attraction like sensual or alterous. not fun times to be had.
