They’re on twitter mad at Bri (well, they’re all always mad at Bri about something…) but they’re currently mad at her about her opinion on OBAA, and it’s crazy because she’s absolutely right. As a matter of fact, she’s far more nuanced and polite (and eloquent lol) about it than I’d ever be, because I would’ve said that if I could take the first 30 minutes of that movie outside and shoot it, I would. The rest of it was no great shakes either. People are pretending it’s revolutionary and excellent satire, and I’m trying to figure out what movie they watched.

Not to sound like a broken record, but this is just the type of thing this fandom loves to positively engage with, and OP is just the type of person this fandom likes to positively interact with.
You know what this whole thing reminds me of? When Ms. Sam Would Keep Reaching Out To Bucky For 14 Months Because He’s A Prideless Loser was posting a warning to people, telling them to watch out for a racist fanfic they’d come across on ao3. Lol friend, don’t you know I lol’d irl when I saw them doing that. And yet, people were taking them seriously like they actually give a single fuck about racism or even general disrespect towards Sam.
Anyway, yeah, this fandom is so unserious.

This fandom loves a good performative post though, so I’m not surprised people are liking it. The only thing people don’t like around here is when anyone deeper than a puddle (consistently) speaks out against racism and antiBlackness, or just posts positive Sam content in general, then it’s a problem 🙄

Sam Wilson, divorced single father, decides he is ready to join the online dating pool. With the help of his ex and his son, he creates a dating profile. Sam's friend's friend, Bucky Barnes, sees the profile and wonders if it really is Sam. Sam's a good-looking guy, so maybe someone is using his pictures to catfish some poor bastard. Bucky insists he should reach out to ask this guy if he is the real Sam Wilson. Bickering and banter ensues.

I can’t explain it, but every time I see a picture of Hudson Williams he looks like a vampire from BtVS the movie to me. I’m dead serious. It’s something about his face that gives vampire from that particular movie. Anyway, as soon as I see a pic of him I always immediately think about Sasha Jenson in vampire form.

sam wilson’s job is captain america. his job is not to be a therapist to superheroes. it is part of who he is and his approach to life and his job as captain america, but it doesn’t mean his only purpose is to provide therapy to everyone he encounters or bear their weights. he is capable of—and actually does—so much more than that. he is incredibly multifaceted. why does this need to be said continually.
