Love, Bears and Robots

@kamatronic

I draw animatronics, funky critters and more! 22, She/Her & It/Its, Therian? pfp by @purpletrashsnake !

It's been a year already? Y'know I've said it before but I never like "celebrating" milestones like this. I get reminded of the passage of time and get so sick I want to throw up on myself. Time is going by faster and faster and it makes me scared. Here's to more and more art & stories, and trying to ignore the inevitable march of time.

My COMMISSIONS are OPEN! I am in DESPERATE need of money because I've been laid off and have literally 21 cents in my bank. If you want relatively cheap, relatively detailed Rock-afire or Chuck-E-Cheese or Five Nights at Freddy's art, or any animatronic character really, please message me and we can negotiate a price based on what you'd be interested in!

Again, I am absolutely BROKE 😭 Examples of my work featured in detail on my profile.

UPDATE: I'm not gonna have any insurance for the next month and a half, things are incredibly scarce for me right now.

Uhh... I've kinda never listened to a CEC show before... (outside of the ones from the *very* early PTT days)

Gimme some good covers or original songs they did, I wanna listen!

Mike from RLM said that the FNaF cast are specifically based on the Rock-afire Explosion and not the Chuck-E-Cheese characters even though they're clearly inspired by the later iteration Cyberamic CEC bots 😭

i don’t know anything about fnaf other than the stuff i know from the jokes and memes but do they have like… canon personalities? like i know foxy is like the edgy emo one right and chica is The Girl™️ and obviously based off of helen but like. other than that do they have like canon personalities? do they like, talk? like i know freddy goes hur hur hur hur hur but other than that. because now i’m curious

lol this is one of the reasons I haven’t been able to get into fnaf. I wish they had some supplemental media like showtapes or something created by people who actually understand why cec/the rae were appealing in the first place, actually creating a canon “world” for these characters would make the lore even spookier and more interesting, imo

it could be a fun fan project, at least!

Absolutely! I was so disappointed to see the FNaF film show the characters performing for like, 5 seconds... and it was just straight up Talking In Your Sleep... and not even a cover of it like what the Rock-afire had. Did Scott just forget that these places had cover bands to do music for them? Made me very sad.

rlm is not the only official source that has said fnaf characters are based on rae and not cec, i get the feeling that most companies working with fnaf are told to refer to the rock afire and dismiss questions about similarities to cec both because

1. cec has expressed strong discomfort with fnaf as a brand by blocking most fans on twitter as well as having training documents for employees forcing them to not discuss or acknowledge it if kids mention it

& 2. rae is a "dead brand" for the most part despite it still being used by the rights holder, it gives them more leeway to talk about the inspirations behind fnaf in more specific terms without actually getting like. Sued for reasons relating to similarity or slandering of an active brand. oddly though, scott himself has said fnaf was inspired by rae in interviews and forum posts. originally he said chuck e cheese, then walked back on it, and in all honesty he probably drew inspiration from both in multiple ways but i cant help but wonder if maybe there's a reason he walked back on it and is so insistent about fnaf being inspired by rae and not cec when the og characters are very clearly stylized cyberamics. fwiw he's friends with/has been on friendly terms with aaron so i assume that is an element in it, im not a fnaf expert so i could be missing something but like that's what my assumption has always been. sorry for the autism spiel i like saying things and i felt like u would Get it

RLM is not an official source for FNaF news or content. They've never been associated with the brand as clearly stated by them trying to reach out about Rich Evans and then never hearing back. It's a shame there was no nod to the image but Scott is a loser hack fraud coward who wouldn't have slightly raunchy jokes in his movies. And again, I doubt this is any sort of formal policy with the FNaF IP, where are you getting this? It's mostly from CEC's end. 1. This is true. But this doesn't go both ways, even though FNaF has never acknowledged CEC it's quite clear that they've been the more influential characters and brand in shaping Five Nights at Freddy's. 2. Again, this is a wild claim considering Aaron is notoriously litigious and will absolutely shoot down and bury any fan project that he starts to catch wind of. They're clearly just not the inspiration for FNaF as well since a lot of the character variance and complexity seen in Scott's earlier works is absent from the first Freddy's game. This is because he chose to pull from the CEC Cyberamic bots which are relatively uniform in body shape and appearance. Finally, I'd need to see where you've cited him as using the RAE as inspiration for his series and not CEC. You insist that he pulled from them but he's really only mentioned Chuck maybe once or twice, and never the Rock-afire. I'm sorry but a lot of this message just feels like you're pulling from some source or idea that isn't actually true. The reality is that FNaF has always been pretty hands-off when it comes to actually depicting events or media or characters similar to real animatronics. The stylistic resemblance to Cyberamics was a first game choice and every FNaF bot beyond that point has more or less pulled from the existing characters rather than actual real life animatronics. It's actually a pretty frustrating part of the series that Scott shows these cool animated funny robot animals off but never even tries to explain to his audience how they work or mirror cool trivia about their history. Hope this didn't come off as mean, but I want to correct any misinfo about things if I can.

Beta stage. It's interesting to see just how much they changed

The Rock-afire Explosion is one of the very few pieces of media I can say got better without any major drawbacks in its final rendition. The final masks are so much more expressive and less uncanny, Dook's space suit adds so much to make him stand out, Shalisa and Rick are so much better as the voices of Mitzi and Beach than the ones Aaron did for the initial showtapes... I'm sure there's more things that I can't think of now but yeah. Hats off to the Rock-afire for not losing ANY charm from their earlier renditions.
