Preservation seems like the kind of place that would have Christmas sweaters

And Ratthi is probably one of the only people that could get Murderbot to wear one

behold! some of my favourite frames from my second tmbd animatic (tumblr // youtube). somehow it was even more fun to make than the first one. the synth beats of OK Go just fit the characters too well.

also, since there's been interest expressed: i uploaded a couple of frames (including 2.0) and a few non-animatic drawings to INPRNT for physical items and to Ko-Fi for fullres digital downloads to be printed at your leisure <3

So. Freaking. Cool.

Flight of fancy

I've been thinking a bit about why the Murderbot doesn't like eye contact. Sec Unit eyes are almost the only thing that gives away as a former corporate affiliation

Because serial number is printed on the white of right eye

a Ship in a Bottle animatic -- because i am ill about Network Effect, abstract!ART, and whatever it and murderbot have got going on. IN COLOUR, for the first time in my animatic-making history! because ART deserves the best <3

this was my side-project-to-avoid-going-insane as i'm preparing for my thesis defence. it's on nov 13th! wish me luck!

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”

this one's from last year but I just started my rotk reread and this scene makes me giggle every time

The Cost of a Cure. A reflection on medical waste

These vital pieces of equipment are necessary for our treatments and patient care, however they are a not so slow bleed of our planet's resources. Just like a body has a limited amount of blood it can lose before catastrophe, there has to be a limit of how much plastics and consumables we throw away before the planet starts to bleed.

The dichotomy of treatment and hemorrhage, and the sheer amount of medical waste in our profession were the concepts that drove this illustration
