If Steve Harrington played Stardew Valley, he would absolutely do the Joja Mart route because 'why would I waste time collecting all these little things when I could just buy what I need?' the others would give him so much shit for it. Especially Eddie, who loves all the little collectibles and critters. When he first finds out, he looks betrayed.

He says, "Where's your sense of whimsy, Steve?" With these big, sad brown eyes. Steve immediately sighs and starts a brand new non-Joja Mart save file.

Also, Eddie accidentally calls Steve 'Alex' one day while watching him play the game. Steve has an existential crisis because holy shit they're both jocks whose parents aren't there and Alex works at an ice cream booth. Also, Alex has a dog named Dusty and Steve has a Dustin. Steve is spiralling about what it says about him that he has a bunch of things in common with an NPC in a farming game.

Robin just leans in with a smirk and says, "That's funny, I swear I saw you give Alex a mermaid's pendant when you were playing the other day. Care to explain that, Eddie?"

Steve stops spiralling almost as abruptly as he started. "Wait isn't that like how you marry people in the game?"

Eddie sinks into the couch with a bright red face like he wants to disappear into the cushions.
