So I was looking at how cod fish reproduce (don’t ask), and apparently they mainly use vocalizations to attract mates. Specifically, male cod will make various drumming-like noises as a display to convince females to lay their eggs around them.
Anyway, remember how one of the first conflicts Jimmy got into was over a music disc?
Music is an incredibly important aspect of the Cod Empire’s culture, especially in regards to courtship. It is customary among the cod people to craft a special song for their lover as a way of cementing the relationship. Many of them will spend months, or even years perfecting a song to “propose” to their partner with.
