Hello lovelies my little corner of the internet!

Some basic things first!

1.) I am a consumer of fandom. I love fandom content. As someone who has existed in fandom spaces for over a decade, and was in a hardcore fandom (Directioner since 2011 over here), I know what I will and will not accept.
2.) I do not tolerate bullshit. Consumers of fan work do not get to act out of pocket for bullshit reasons. If you send me or someone I care about hate, you're blocked. If you make demands of me (key word demands, you can make requests respectfully), you're probably going to get blocked. If I find you to be an abhorrent person, you're going to be blocked.
3.) I am here to have a good time and make communities with ADULTS who like the same things. Minors will be blocked if I find them interacting with my account.
4.) I am 26 years old, have a full time job, a husband, a million and one things always going on with my health, and two very large animals (a dog who is 150 pounds and a cat who is like 20 pounds). I wish so desperately I could dedicate all my time to my passions, but capitalism is kicking my ass. I just ask you be patient with me as I probably will never have a regular posting schedule for my works.
5.) I do not condone the use of AI. I was involved with it what the whole c.ai and spicy shit came about, but since then I have educated myself more on the very real dangers of AI and am adamantly against. While I'm not delusional enough to believe asking nicely will prevent anyone from using my work to train AI in some capacity, I do want you to understand that if you do, I will gleefully laugh when the gods unleash their wrath upon you for furthering the destruction of the planet and if art. You will also make me sad, and I'm not fun when I'm sad. So yeah, fuck AI bullshit and miss me with that. If found to use my shit for any of those purposes, you will be blocked and I will talk shit about you.

Okay now that that's out of the way!

If these things change I will let y'all know.

A PSA I guess.

If anyone cares about my writing, you can find it getting updated and moved (slowly but surely) over to AO3 (same username). As of right now, all of my SMAUs are to be left unfinished. If anyone is interested in connecting on discord or something, feel free to reach out. The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

Just an reninder, you can't reliably use the presence of an em dash to detect AI. You may think "Well obviously, everybody on (insert website here) is saying I use em dashes" and that's because AI steals from us. Tumblr posts, AO3 posts, pretty much anything at this point that can connect to the Internet, they're all used to train AI.

It's getting hard to protect things from AI, and it's getting harder to always know if it's AI or not. It sucks and it's scary. Just remember there are many writers and artists you can approach if there's something you desire to read or see.

The community feature on Tumblr doesn't work I think the way many people thought it would. Or perhaps even should. The community feature does not open us up further or expand the fandom. It keeps them closed. It doesn't help engagement. Most of the time, I've noticed you get interactions in the community and then your actual post is quiet. That's not helping. That feature isn't making fandoms better or keeping them alive. It truly is a locked gate.

If me or anyone speaking up about the way we have felt isolated and ignored by the fandoms we are part of at large made you feel the need to be angry at us or block us, go to your local home decor store and find a mirror. Get a pretty one so you can stand to have it in your house after you reflect on why that made you feel like it was an attack on your person. Cause none of it was towards a specific person, it was towards a behavior. And one that's cause a loss of love for fandoms.
