I’m hosting a dtiys (draw this in your style) from now, august 11, to september 20. here’s what you’ll be drawing:

yes this is my tf2 oc no one should be surprised. but hark!! there are more options-

you can also draw my fursona (left) or my dinosona (right, obviously)

to participate, either dm me your art or post it and tag me!

there will be three winners, first place gets a fully rendered drawing (to the best of my ability) of something of their choice, second place gets a custom character design, and third place gets an icon/bust shot of any character!

no one asked for this so here are The Locked Tomb characters as Florida birds:

First House:

  • Mercymorn: great egret (beautiful plumage, commanding presence, horrible temper)
  • Augustine: great blue heron (elegant, dignified, nasty)
  • Gideon 1: red-shouldered hawk (effective but not showy; a focused hunter)
  • John: northern mockingbird (why is this our state bird?? constantly gaslighting me by imitating other birds) OR bald eagle (steals prey from other birds)
  • Cytherea: Cooper’s hawk (the only bird on this list who is a specialized predator of other birds)

Ninth House:

  • Gideon: osprey (she’s something else with those talons! wacky hairdo; love these goobers)
  • Harrow: yeah you know I had to pick black vulture
  • Ortus Nigenad: common loon (sorry what are you doing here bud?? you can’t even walk on land! yes I know technically you are supposed to be here but all your black-and-white came off and I just feel like you’d thrive elsewhere)

Second House

  • Marta Dyas: red-bellied woodpecker (neat, regimented, good with a blade)
  • Judith Deuteros: pileated woodpecker (very good at what they do in a specific context; not so adaptable to unexpected contexts)

Third House

  • Coronabeth Tridentarius: little blue heron (a beautiful bird, but like all herons, will fuck you up; also like other herons, siblings regularly kill each other)
  • Ianthe Tridentarius: tricolored heron (yeah, I had to make the joke; looks like a scrungly little blue heron; aggressive and sharp)
  • Naberius Tern: boat-tailed grackle (loud, shiny, around so much I forget to notice them)

Fourth House

  • Isaac Tetteras: Carolina wren (big attitude but very small)
  • Jeannemary Chatur: Eastern phoebe (quick, fierce, and acrobatic, but also small and vulnerable)

Fifth House

  • Abigail Pent: least tern (always looks immaculate; surprisingly violent when there is any possibility one of the children could be threatened)
  • Magnus Quinn: Wilson’s plover (ultimate dad energy: often seen with extra feet sticking out because the kids are hiding under their plumage)

Sixth House

  • Palamedes Sextus: American crow (smart, social, adaptable, good at puzzles; somewhat ragged appearance)
  • Camilla Hect: anhinga (sleek, elegant, dangerously sharp)

Seventh House

  • Dulcinea Septimus: merlin (aww, how cute! but look out, that’s a predator!)
  • Protesilaus Ebdoma: wood stork (big and weird-looking but quite peaceful for a bird)

Eighth House

  • Silas Octakiseron: snowy egret (irritated energy; always putting on a performance; weird noises)
  • Colum Asht: brown pelican (yes they’re big and powerful but like, not in a charismatic way)

Additional

  • Wake: herring gull (has no fear, not even of other gulls)
  • Matthias Nonius: magnificent frigatebird (you don’t even go here?? but one got blown in by a storm once?? majestic, powerful, elegant; will fuck up other birds if needed)
  • Pyrrha Dve: barred owl (beautiful with a powerful presence, but also good at blending in; you won’t see them until they want you to see them)
  • Nona: roseate spoonbill (beautiful and adorable but also weird)

when i finish up all the canon characters i wanted to start taking my own designs for the characters and assigning those birds? i might not do that though.

(also i can’t tell if this is supposed to be a hate anon and if it is: this is literally so inconsequential why do you gaf like 💀💀 and if it’s not i am so sorry i’m just terrible at reading tone)
