lotus 🤍

[…] lotus flowers are symbols of strength, resilience, and rebirth. another lotus flower meaning is transcendence: the lotus represents the transcending of one’s spirit over worldly matter since it blooms from the underworld into the light.

Traditional (with a modern twist) Filipino attire X Siuan and Moiraine.

This idea came from a friend after we read the description of Tear (where Siuan is from), it is said that it has Spanish and Southeast Asian Fusion culture to the point that they have Asian names and Spanish surnames. And so, the only thing we thought about is The Philippines, since up to this day the country still has traces of Spanish influences due to the colonization that lasted 333 years.

The attire is the Filipiniana—"Traje de Mestiza" which combines Filipino and Foreign Ancestry—and the (modern) Barong.

SIUAN SANCHE TATTOO BREAKDOWN

Since it was mentioned that Tear, where Siuan is from, has similarities with Southeast Asian culture, I focused on the meaning of it for those in the Philippines. I used Polynesian meaning as well, since I've noticed the similarities.

I'm quite not sure about the accuracy of my breakdown, if it's really that or they have different ones in mind, but here are the references i used:
