The Chaos Protocol is one of 3 main ttrpg campaigns done by Transplanar rpg, an all transgender, people of colour- led ttrpg actual play channel that specialises in dark fantasy campaigns set in an original non-colonial antiorientalist multiverse (this has mostly been taken from their YT page)
The Chaos protocol is about 3 agents of TRANS (the Transplanar Reification and Nourishment Syndicate), a syndicate that was originally made to help defeat Oblivion, one of the 3 precepts along with Fate and Magic who was trying to destroy the multiverse, but after Fate and Magic sorted things out with her TRANS became a syndicate designed around helping the planes that Oblivion had hurt. Our 3 agents, strike team Nova, are answering distress calls across the multiverse and trying to deal with their own internal conficts and grief. (there's technically 4 agents but one of them is an NPC so I haven't really counted her)
Sing (she/they) is the child of Fate, one of the 3 precepts and she's an NPC so she's just played by Connie Chang (they/he/she) the GM. She's Fate's chosen hero which entails her having her own destiny to fulfil, she's basically the golden child of TRANS.
Seir (he/they) is Sing's twin so he is also a child of Fate. He's played by Valiant Dorian (he/him). He is not Fate's chosen hero and is often ignored by Fate in favour of his sister, to quote the first episode "Fate didn't make mistakes, but to the Syndicate, Seir was the closest thing to it" He's very loyal to strike team Nova and especially to his sister but he doesn't really have an identity of his own he's either "the son of Fate" or "Sing's disappointing brother".
Lumièra (she/her) is the party's healer and is played by Samm Star (she/they/fae). Lumièra has recently (and by recently i mean before the campaign starts) been having troubles using her healing magic and has mostly been relying on her healing gum and regular first aid tactics. She keeps stressing until her friend gives her a forbidden book taht they say could help her with finding her magic calling.
Xainan Esch (he/him) is the party's gunslinger and he is played by Cai K (he/they/she). Xainan is the last survivor of Kesseki, a world which got destroyed and turned to dust by Oblivion, he still hasn't completely recovered from the loss of his parents, his 4 lovers and his daughter. He's described as the 'poster child' of the Lone Survivor Support Group (LSSG for short) but even with him going to every meeting he can he still focuses more on helping others rather than himself. He was assigned to Strike Team Nova to mentor Sing but they had only really went on a couple of missions before the mayday missions began.
And together they are all Strike Team Nova serving under the Hand of Fate Artemis (she/they) the patron of mortal who is played by Sea Thomas (they/them). The Hands of Fate are three immortals who serve Fate and basically instruct the mortals to do her will, the other two are Lucy, patron of monsters, and Wuyin, patron of heroes, (I am not 100% sure of their pronouns nor am i sure I have spelt the latter's name correctly so if anybody wants to correct me I am happy to receive it). Different Strike teams will serve a different Hand of Fate but everyone at TRANS serves Fate.
The chaos protocol tackles themes of grief, queer love and the control of fate. Almost every character is queer and/or poc and Connie Chang has gone on record to say that it's because they wanted to tell more stories that they and so many of the people they cared about could relate to.
If you have any triggers, The Chaos Protocol does detail any content warnings at the start of every episode. Also it is very long campaign, it isn't even over yet but it's already at nearly 70 episodes all of which are nearly an hour long but they do a lot with every scene given. If a scene doesn't emotionally punch you in the gut it's there to show off the motivations of a character or to introduce a new character or mystery. It is currently in hiatus before arc 3 so you do have time to catch up.
