It is a fucking crime that my friend got termed while your blogs are still active. I fucking hate all of you.

These four accounts have been harassing Patricia and anyone she's friends with for several months at a minimum. When she was 18 she was groomed into sharing nudes online by people 10 years older than her. At one point they coaxed her into masturbating in a voice call, and someone invited a 15 year old into the call, at which point they were told to leave and Patricia stopped until they left. This turned into an accusation that Patricia "masturbated in a Discord call with minors", intentionally, because she is secretly a pedophile. From there, these accounts have tried gathering additional evidence from her public posts; this "evidence" consists of things like "she feels bad when villains are humiliated at the end of kids movies'", "a friend drew a pic of her at the beach wearing a swimsuit" (the claim being that, as an ageplayer, all art of Patricia as a kid must be sexual), and "she reblogged SFW fanart from an artist who started calling themselves a pedophile 9 months after she reblogged it". They've gone as far as to accuse her of lying about DID and creating little alters so she can act out pedophilic fantasies in public, based on absolutely nothing, all while her sideblog for her little alter Nix was posting stuff like "i want to eat a burger" and "i love rubiks cubes". She has been dealing with this for five years. She tried arguing with them, repeatedly. But it didn't seem to matter, as her stalkers were using the logic of "Well, claim A doesn't mean anything on its own, but you must admit that it's very suspicious when you put it next to claims B, C, and D, none of which mean anything on their own either." Combine with the claim that she was encoding pedophilic intent into seemingly innocent posts, it is effectively a conspiracy theory, which is nearly impossible to falsify in the eyes of people who believe it. (So, why does she have stalkers? Why would people go through all this trouble? Part of it's transmisogyny; she is not the first transfem musician to be falsely accused of pedophilia. But it's also from people who've gotten into bitter arguments with Patricia, like about whether trans men face discrimination that isn't generally for being trans, stumbled onto the pedo accusations, and saw it as a way to add a moral dimension to their dislike of her. Which probably is also transmisogyny) I took the claims at face value too, I even made an RYM account with the intention of warning her fans there about her. If I hadn't checked to see her side of the story, I could have ruined her life. And now, by reporting her and removing her from the site, her side of the story is no longer visible.

This was extremely informative to hear more of the story I didn't know about. I didn't need to hear the details of her abuse story to know she was being treated unfairly, but some others will.

"DNI: Standard DNI criteria" is so funny, like anyone checking if they should interact is gonna be familiar enough with dni's to know the standard redundant options. really exposes the purpose of them, they signal an in-group to other people with the same DNI rather than actually being a warning for potentially unwanted interactions.

You did it. You pointed out the whole underlying absurdity of DNIs in general.

Because even if you get more specific, racists, homophobes, transphobes and other bigots aren't going to politely spare you harassment just because you told them to. They aren't exactly known for respecting other people’s boundaries.

it is good to know that DNIs essentially function identically to a terms & conditions screen that no one reads.

You don't have to prove to people that your boundaries are valid, you can just Set Them. Hope this helps!

i had a snarky response to this, but instead i just want to say that the setting of boundaries is a two way street. you can't just say your boundaries in a terms & conditions screen and put all responsibility on people who don't take the time to read it, you need to actually set and enforce your boundaries for them to be respected or else it really is partially your fault.

My conduct this year landed me on Santa Claus's fabled and controversial "Kill-at-all-Costs" List. Turns out the reason the big man and his people don't exercise that option more often is that they really aren't good at following through on it. Well outside their core competency. He's delegated to the elves, and they've got this ingrained assembly-line mindset that doesn't translate at all to the adaptable and fluid mindset needed for siege breaking. They just haven't adjusted their playbook at all from when they're doing rote deliveries. Armed Elves have been rappelling down my chimney one at a time into the roaring fire I've kept going nonstop for the last week. They haven't even thought to try my front door yet. Whole house smells like peppermint, which it turns out is what burnt elf meat smells like. Thought I was being super clever putting cyanide-laced almond milk out with the cookies as a last line of defense, but none of them have made it even the scant few feet to the side table where that's sitting. At the rate things are going the real danger is that I'm gonna forget what I did with that and accidentally drink it myself while I'm watching the show

Part of what I think is going on is that the fire and elf-infused smoke is fucking with the pheromone trails they lay down to tell other elves where it is and isn't safe to walk, hence why they're all just lemming it up like this. My buddy at fish and wildlife told me that it's sad but I'm legally in the clear as long as I don't cause undue injury to a fertile queen, and obviously they couldn't fit one of those in a sleigh. So ecologically my hands are clean

I don't think you're a trans ally until you accept trans people who don't want to transition. And I don't just mean medically.

I mean trans men who look indistinguishable from cis women and trans women who look indistinguishable from cis men and they're happy like that. Who have no intention of changing their style, presentation, or even pronouns.

Some women don't look like the stereotypical idea of "woman" and it's the same for men. But they're still men and women. I need you to understand that gender has no bearing on appearance and people's comfort in their own bodies is more important than the fictional idea of what manhood and womanhood looks like.

And, yes, some people can't transition due to disability or funds or whatever and they're included in this, yes. But you need to accept people who don't want to either. Who willingly make the choice to not transition in any way because that's how they're the most comfortable.

A trans person who doesn't transition is just as much their gender as anyone else of that same gender. Please get that through your head.

To any trans men who don't want to transition or change their appearance in any way: You're a man. You've always been a man. You will always be a man.

To any trans women who don't want to transition or change their appearance in any way: You're a woman. You've always been a woman. You will always be a woman.

The way your body looks doesn't matter in the slightest, your gender is real and legitimate and valid regardless of any other factors.
