thinking about this song through the perspective of the circus equating to forced escapism, where delusions slowly drive them insane

jax is the only one with the mental fortitude to "escape" it until, like in the original song at the very end, its implied he falls into it as well

also, the lyrics would imply that jax is the one who shared this coping method with the two, which ended up becoming all their downfall
