I'm sort of embarrassed to ask for help, but we do need help. Our accountant last year made some grievous mistakes (including counting all of my rent as a deductible!), and we just found out we owe thousands of pounds before the end of the month.

Why must I watch everything around me crumble? My future, my life, my education, my home, my time, my loved ones, my friends—everything is being destroyed. Nothing is left. All this because of a war that took everything from me.

While everyone else sits comfortably in their centrally heated homes or at their beloved jobs, I sit wondering why all this happened to me. Why must I stay awake all night in the cold, fear, and darkness Why ?

After being a vibrant, energetic, and hopeful person with a bright future ahead of me, everything has now been shattered. My biggest dream is simply to stay alive and seek help to support myself and my family and escape this situation. Adding to my distress is my father's illness (cancer), which requires urgent treatment, otherwise, God forbid, we will lose him. Just thinking about all this makes me choose death, but then I ask myself, if I die, will anything change? Will my family's situation improve? Will my father recover? Of course not. My wife is suffering from a severe deficiency in vitamins, especially vitamin D, and she urgently needs surgery to save her life. Her body is growing weaker day by day, malnutrition is stealing her strength, and I stand helpless watching her suffer.
