I’ve read Frankenstein before and this quote has always resonated with me. I saw it again on Instagram today and it hit me that it was Adar coded too. It fits him so well.
He had so much rage against Sauron and so much love for his children. When he could not satisfy his rage for Sauron, he indulged his love for his children by offering to heal Middle Earth with Galadriel and then not fighting back when his children murdered him, because he loved them too much.
Here I was thinking I could not love him any more than I already do.
Reblogging this now I’ve watched Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein. A fantastic film and I still think The Creature and Adar have a lot in common. This quote was not said in these exact words, but it still made it into the film and I was ecstatic about that.
Also this quote resonates with my soul since I feel things so deeply. Mary Shelley, the brilliant woman that you were. A true inspiration. Guillermo Del Toro the artist you are, bringing the story to life as you have.
I'm back from MagicCon in Germany and I could not be happier and more excited (and still bubbling from excitement) about these two photos that I had taken yesterday with Charles Edwards and Sam Hazeldine. Especially the first one was what I had hoped for ever since Charles was announced as a guest, and I was soooo nervous about whether he would be willing to pose like this and if I liked myself on this photo (I regularly don't, and unlike "normal" photoshoots, for the ones with the guests at a con, there are no second chances).
So I was mega nervous and now with both of these I feel like I hit a jackpot, or at least peak cosplay photo goal!
