- How blue is the Cuban sky? - So blue. Couples fall in love and go to the beach 'cause there's no one there. We go there to be alone. Beneath the palm trees.

10DANCE / テンダンス (2025)

(Director Keishi Otomo thought the scenes were too embarrassing for the two actors that he made Machi climb up to the loft, where the two characters couldn’t see face to face initially.)

and then they proceeded to make heart eyes at each other anyway, i see i see

In the impressive opening scene, Hermès Vintage Chaine d'Ancre Tresse YG 7 crafted by Georges L'Enfant, a representative French jeweler of the 20th century, and the Hermès Vintage Chaine d'Ancre TPM YG JLZ were worn.
Throughout the film, mainly the Hermes Touareg bangle and Tiffany & Co. Carnelian SV / YG ring were worn. Additionally, the above two items were personally favored and purchased by Takeuchi. It's the first time they purchased an item for personal use from the costumes prepared for shooting, and I heard that they are currently wearing it in other shoots and private settings as well, which is a great honor.
Please also pay attention to the jewelry shining along with the visual beauty. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Takeuchi, Mr. Ueda, the stylist, and all the movie-related people involved in this work.

Wow! What an achievement international-wise. This is the start for those two actors to be recognised worldwide.

Although it wasn't shown in the main story, the room that Sugiki entered after saying "Let's take a break" to Suzuki.
The Sugiki Studio was shot on set.
The existence of this room wasn't even in the script, and it wasn't supposed to be used, but I got goosebumps from the art team creating it in such detail.
Well then, please enjoy your long weekend!

Machi looks so ethereal. Anyway, January 12 is a public holiday in Japan, the Coming of Age day.

read one review from a japanese fan on twitter that said movie suzuki is just like a cat in heat ready to be taken, and I just had to 100% agree w them, so yeah your headcanon is allowed lmao, he can be both sub and power bottom bitch

right??? like even if he's not a sub he's still a powerbottom and even if he wins the alpha-off with sugiki - he is STILL gonna bottom cause that man knows what he wants

Things I wish we'd got in the 10Dance movie (that was in the manga):

  • Suzuki's sexy accented English. That was one thing I found absolutely hilarious in the manga, that whenever Suzuki started speaking English, everyone around him thought that either he was trying to pick them up, or he was faking it to sound sexy. Truth was that Suzuki picked up his English from his Cuban grandmother, whose English had that added sweetness to it.
  • Suzuki's 9 half-sisters. Come on, we have all seen the Suzuki genes, can you imagine how drop dead gorgeous his sisters would be? Also, the sister training to be a doctor seemed very cool. And growing up with 9 sisters meant that Suzuki was very well-versed in girl talk.
  • I know they made movie!Sugiki a loner because it fitted into the dynamics that they were trying to build there, but in the manga, Sugiki actually has friends, and his closest friend is very gay and was very much in love with Sugiki to the point where he got pissed whenever Sugiki started speaking about his feelings for Suzuki which would have been different if he was a "woman." So yes, would have loved to see Ernie in the movie, even for a moment.
  • Liana clocking that both of the men she had been dating (and the one she married) were both gay. Giulio totally has the hots for Sugiki in a /coughcough/ heated rivalry sort of way, and when Sugiki tells her that his reason for existing now is because he has found his worthy rival (Suzuki), it totally has her rolling her eyes at him, and lamenting the fact that Giulio wanted to hear these words from Sugiki all his life, but he never got to.
  • Fusako being married to a guy who is the biggest Sugiki fan, to the point where he doesn't mind the fact that his wife spends all her time with him. Pretty sure he gets off to that, too.
  • Suzuki dropping out of the pro scene for a while because he insulted a judge (pretty sure he punched him), and then him going underground and returning with a bona fide pro certification and then sweeping all the national Latin championships.
  • Also, it was pretty much obvious in the movie without having to spell it out, but in the manga, it's hilarious how everyone refers to Suzuki as "walking sex" (which, valid) or Mr. Sexy, because that's the first thing they see about him. He's the living personification of the "everyone in this room wants me carnally" meme, and he's not always aware of it, which is very cute.

Obviously, tonally the two pieces of media are very different, but I feel like a little depth into their characters (like why Suzuki was exclusively dancing only for the nationals and did not apply for the international competitions—it was so that he could send home the championship money, or how Sugiki has an entire network of people in the UK, where he grew up, and how he blends right in whenever he goes back, and even his relationship with Martha, which is more interesting than the two lines she utters in the movie), would have added some much needed complexity to the already nuanced reading of the characters.

Omg i had never noticed this. You know when suzuki throws his little tantrum introducing himself to giulio? Right after that i was always so focused on sugiki’s little nod to liana that i’ve missed EVERY SINGLE TIME suzuki calling out to sugiki in the background. “sugiki are you coming??” “yes”.

i don't give a shit about any live action x-men talk unless it's about giving cyclops his live-action due.

AND TO BE CLEAR i don't mean i want a portrayal of him that sanitizes and paints him better than what the comics have generally shown, just so he can be likeable. i want him portrayed in all his complicated mess and misery and triumph. because scott summers is not a 2D character - he is full of depth that deserves exploring. give me all of that PLEASE.

HEY SO - I MANIFESTED THIS

but scott returning was only like, 20% of the dream. here's to hoping the other 80% of my manifestation comes thru :)
