meiri -> my name. actually a nickname based on my name given to me by one of my childhood friend when we were like 10 & 11 (they younger than me) I have no idea how they came up with it but I liked it a lot so mine now. so are grigri and mares actually

mérens -> my absoluteeee mostest absolute mostest favorite horse breed (I luv horses. Did you Know? Does He Know?) it's a southwestern (like meee) mountain (I love mountain) horse breed. it is outdoorsy, strong and sure-footed, qualities I strive towards. look how beautiful the mérens

I changed my username one summer as I had been for months at that point wanting to change it and shed my previous one which served me well but also anchored me in an adolescent vulnerability I felt I had outgrown. this very summer I was on holiday in the part of the country that is known for the mérens. And I was like Dude. Duuude. I couldn't have asked better. retroactively I found it even more fitting because there is a picture of my mother when she was still carrying me i was still cooking a terribly auraful picture where in a turquoise-looking eerie forest she is looking at a mérens walking by... so I like to think this was some kind of woodland mérens genie casting its spell on me to make me a horse girl as a child and a Horse Adult Now.

tldr my name + my mostest favorite horse breed which Actually Has Been Here All Along. and also it sounds so perfectly like a first name last name thing it's really funny. please call me meiri. mérens was the benevolent genie who enspelled me in my mother's womb.

I've quite often considered the Notkin ↔ Khan beef in the prism of the Burakh ↔ Dankovsky beef, in that they are people from different factions (the Faction device is important) with drastically different values and views/experiences of the world who, due to 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕮𝖎𝖗𝖈𝖚𝖒𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊𝖘, are forced to leave the beef at the door, make use of the other's strengths regardless of personal affiliation (P2 notkin and his gang going to the Polyhedron to not die of the plague), generally work together to uncover mysteries (House of Death), and eventually armistice (Notkin's p2 line), and let me tell you something. that scene of Khan in jail while Notkin is outside greatly makes me think... wow. this has never happened to anyone else ever. no other character has ever gone through this with another character. this is brand new.

Eva's lines that Farkhad was 31 [at time of murder]..... if we take the timeline that the Tower was built 5 years ago [P2 lore which i believeee is carried on], [my belief] that farkhad was killed just before its completion, that the twins are in their late 20s now, it makes my HC that he's more or less 5yrs older than the twins real. Basically I've known everything from the start.

thing is on one hand I still have a principled reason to not want more farkhad lore. I consider what we got in p1 & p2 to be enough — maybe even too much, on the case of p2. (peter would not be telling a guy who don't fw him don't fw his tower that he's a murderer and his brother too. I like the key with no lock. I like the concept of a lock with no key. that's for the players to fuck around with.) giving him more lore is shooting the ambiguity of the man in the foot (and shooting the ability to consider other dynamics, for example if he was much older than the twins, or younger even, or a blabbermouth, or a massive unlovable dickhead etc) and the narrative in the heel.

on the other I don't mind as much seeing what I've seen because it goes in the direction of my beliefs so #HYPOCRITE
