I'm writing these words with a heavy heart and a sense of shame…

It's not easy for a doctor and pharmacist who has dedicated their life to serving people to reach out and ask for help, but circumstances are harsher than any pride.

My pharmacy was completely destroyed by the war,

and my home wasn't spared either… and I no longer have any source of income to support myself and my family.

I was forced to reopen a simple pharmacy, a tent,

offering no protection from the winter cold or the rain,

and with the recent storms, the tent itself was ruined,

and I continue to work in unbearable conditions,

but only because I don't know how to stop or give up.

The situation is extremely difficult… and the need is dire,

and the hardest thing is the feeling of abandonment,

when you feel alone,

and that many of the people you stood by didn't stand by you in this time.

I'm not asking for luxury,

nor anything more than what's necessary.

I'm asking for a life of dignity and a chance to get back on my feet.

Whoever can help, even a little,

may God reward them on behalf of me and my family.

Let’s remember Marimar Martinez who survived after being shot at by ICE five times, but then had to fight against felony charges that were based on claims that differed from video evidence. Let’s remember Jaime Alanis, Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez and Josué Castro Rivera who all died as a result of ICE raids.

We are living through the heaviest days of my life. I watch my children’s every breath with a heart shattered by fear. A ruthless virus is ravaging their small bodies, and we are left with nothing but patience and prayers amidst these merciless conditions.

My eldest son is suffering from severe inflammation and acute anemia. His frail body can no longer fight back. Meanwhile, my little daughter’s lungs can no longer endure the smoke from the fires we are forced to light for warmth; it has triggered chronic respiratory distress, making her a frequent patient in the hospital.

We live in a tent that offers no protection from the biting cold or our mounting pain. With a winter storm approaching, my fear grows that the freezing temperatures will claim what is left of their strength. I feel utterly helpless watching my children wither away, and all I seek is to provide them with the medicine and warmth they need before the illness and cold take them from me.

I appeal to your humanity, in the name of these hard days, to help me save my children. Sickness and cold do not wait. My hope in God and your kind hearts is boundless.

These are the private companies helping ICE build death camps and detain immigrants

I haven’t been on this app in a while, but I know a Black man, Keith Porter, was murdered by ICE on New Year’s Eve (Rest in Power) in Cali. Just one of the countless Black people who’ve been murdered by ICE and other agents of the state.

I log back into this app and see the conversations around the white woman, Renee Good, who was just recently killed. And I can’t help but notice the stark difference in circulation of news and boosting of stories between both of them across this app…

Shit has BEEN happening to Black people across administrations and is currently happening to Black people under this administration, and is met by crickets. Yet when it starts touching white people, I see real anger start being felt from the gen pop followed by amplification and co-opting of Black terms and memorialization… I stg it takes everything in me to give af about yall.

"Friends and family of the 43-year-old man who was fatally shot by a Department of Homeland Security agent in Northridge on New Year's Eve gathered on Sunday to demand accountability and hold a candlelight vigil for their lost loved one."

wtf is waltz saying. He is calling for a moment of silence which of course is the least you can do to remember Good.

But then he asks people ‘to remember all that is good and right about this nation ’.

Misses the point completely. ICE is working on behalf of government founded on Indigenous Genocides and enslavement, which is currently committing the Palestinian Genocide, bombed Venezuela and kidnapped its president, and forcibly interns immigrants who held prisoner without committing a crime and murdered by state action and negligence.

Every ICE kidnapping and murder is a crime against humanity. She stood up to the states crime.

And now that ICE murdered her too. There is nothing good nor right of a nation which continues killing people from its inception in order to impose its colonialist, imperialist, white supremacist state.

We are calling for unity, no you are calling for the world to accept the ‘u.s.’ murdering with impunity.
