They/Them Crooked Vultures

@metamaestro / metamaestro.tumblr.com

he/they! I'm a twenty-something bisexual who is an aspiring English teacher. I also love music and mostly collect music CDs! Personal blog, so brace yourself for lots of MCR! (and other reblogs).

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.

ok but the onelook thesaurus will save your life, i literally could not live without this website

I use this every time I sit down to write. It's the best tool in the world and I would be lost without it!

Alrick and Lou-Lou are inspecting weird sounds coming from somewhere outside. It can't be anything else but something natural because ghosts don't exist, right? Right?

Happy Halloween! 🎃

I'm sorry that there has been no Death-Head's Deal update yet... I've been slowly recovering from a long art burn out. I noticed that I have drawn only 4 updates for Death-Head's Deal in the past 12 months so that is an alarming sign of a burn out is slowly creeping in. That's how it went with FUZZY and took years to recover... I'm letting myself to rest from drawing DHD not to sling myself back into the burn out pit because the other option is that there's never any DHD anymore and that will break my heart.

But I really wanted to draw something for Halloween! I love that Lou-Lou and Alrick neither believe in ghosts but Lou-Lou is still terrified of them and Alrick's not so confident either lol.

hung out with cousin's DJ friend last night and he said the best compliment he's ever received was when he was DJing an orgy and did his research ahead of time and came prepared with Portishead/Massive Attack/Cocteau Twins/etc and halfway through the set, a woman stopped mid-blowjob and pulled the dick out of her mouth to say (to nobody in particular) "damn, this mix is incredible!"

Not to downplay Homura and Madoka's relationship at all, but Homura falling deeply in love with the first girl who gave her the time of day is like. Painfully accurate queer teen representation. Throw in Homura's implied Catholicism and baby, you got a stew going.

Leonid Pasternak  (Ukrainian, 1862–1945) - The Torments of Creative Work

oh leonid, we're really in it now

Leonid, you really understand it.

Save me Leonid, from my empty Word document

Leonid what should I do about the emails

Babe are you okay? you reblogged Leonid Pasternak's Torments of Creative Work again

Leonid Pasternak is the best! My favorite of his is The Night Before The Exam (1895).

My man Leonid continues to be relatable
