I have awakened after a million years laying dormant for a little incoherent ~~bitchy~~ rant on Drusilla Sickle’s costume in the new Sotr trailer that I’ve been sitting on and pondering thoroughly for the last few days. Trust.

Now, a forewarning. This is about the upcoming movie. I draw comparisons to previous movies and discuss costumes as seen in movies. I will touch on HG books only in passing. This is not a thinkpiece about the importance of strict adherence to the books or some such bull. After all, if that was the case, then we would never have the iconic deadly fuchsia outfit as in the books Effie is described wearing a ‘spring-green suit’.
