Hi!! I’m fairly new to fandom but like, I was immediately obsessed w Jason 🤣 I read a fic recently that got me confused over something and when I tried to look it up, I couldn’t find any real answer.
Why doesn’t Jason have a statue in the hall of fallen titans? When he fights Tim there he notes that he doesn’t have a statue despite some other past titans who were there a lot more briefly than him having statues. It seems so odd, especially considering Dicks position amongst the titans and his grief— like why would it make sense for Jason not to have one, wouldn’t dick have made sure?? Idk im confused 😭

tbh i don't know the answer to this! i really just think it was dc trying to get rid of jason todd's legacy as robin and kind of clean the plate since they didn't like him. i doubt there's any canon reason for it but i love love loveee to think about the non-canon angst of this. his funeral audience didnt even include the teen titans despite him having worked with them and donna having adored him. much to think about indeed 😋
In-universe it’s because Jason’s death as Robin was covered up by Bruce. Jason Todd is known to have died in Ethiopia, but not as Robin.
Individual people might be told later on, but there was essentially deliberately no public record or acknowledgement of the second Robin’s death. (Technically, Tim is the publicly known second Robin!)
i always thought that they'd still have a statue for him even considering this since the teen titans aren't regular civilians! he was still a hero and even if they know *robin* didn't die, shouldn't they have still built a statue for a kid that died as robin?
