He's a sorcerer. A real life, honest to God sorcerer. You did it. You really did it.
Oh my mistake I thought characters had motivations for their actions. Thought things mattered, that’s my bad gang!
When The Writers Botch The Protagonists’ Internal Conflicts
A lesson in internal conflict and how overlooking it breaks both your main characters and your story, featuring Stranger Things ⭐️♥️🌈
"cutest couple that never was" but then you see that clip of the byler hug at the beginning of shock jock and will whispers "mike" and
My rewrite of the horrid tower scene except the painting is actually addressed, byler is the canon route, and mike is tolerable and communicative :)
oh conformitygate... they have to pry you out of my cold dead hands
we could have had my fav brand of psych horror as an ending and in my heart of hearts it IS the ending

also why was will so important that the lab made a fake body of him to keep him in the upside down!! they didnt do that for barb or the other people who went missing!! WHY WAS WILL SO IMPORTANT TO NOT BE FOUND?? WHY WAS WILL THE FIRST VICTIM?HOW DO YOU CREATE AN ENTIRE STORY ABOUT THIS AND NEVER ANSWER THIS QUESTION???
we've been robbed.
girl who is normal about mike wheeler gets poetry fridge magnets. more after the weather.
i KNOW mike turned went up the stairs after that last finale dnd game and will messed his sideparted hair up and laughed at the vampire teeth and promised it wasnt the end of all their campaigns. max and lucas and dustin haven’t been told that will and mike are dating yet but they might know, just a little. byler are dating in secret and i choose to believe in that . fuck the real ending!! forced conformity is whats killing the kids
i can't stand people acting like bylers' theories were so Out There like come on man forget the fuckass colors and set decor they made will byers pull a cyrano de bergerac then had to IGNORE IT because apparently they forgot how the trope worked or they pussied out because there was no way to complete it without making it gay. its as simple as that
Eyewitness (2016) / Stranger Things (2016-2025)
bringing this back up because why tf did they parallel mike and will to a canonical gay couple? like what was the reason other than to bait queer people? what purpose did this scene being a 1:1 replication of lukas and philip's fight have? down to the "I'm not gay like you" vs "it's not my fault you don't like girls" the scenes are almost identical. idk how many people in the general audience watched eyewitness but s3 mike and will parallel lukas and philip hard.
like the boy mike parallels in this scene is currently dating a girl to hide the fact that he has feelings for a boy as he's scared of his father finding out. his emotionally distant and conservative father...sounds awfully like someone we know? *cough* it's ted *cough*
anyways, they also both have a scene where they kiss their girlfriend with their eyes wide open and look uncomfortable and in lukas' case he was dealing with internalised homophobia and insecurity but who am I to judge mike 🤷🏻♀️
and the parallels gets worse because will and philip's arcs are so similar it's honestly cruel. they're both much more aware of their feelings and sexuality though are still closeted. they both struggle with self acceptance in a small town. they were both bullied and called gay by others. they both have a parent that is an addict and were abandoned/removed from said parents custody. and it's never them who is unsure of how they feel about the other, it's never them pushing the other away.
now tell me queer people made it all up in their head when they actively called upon queer media. you don't do that unless you want queer people to make connections.
