(looking for my pinned art commission sheet? It's been moved here)

Train Misconductor is a pixel art railroad switching puzzle video game under development by myself (Luna Rose) and @msasterisk.

In Train Misconductor, you operate South Lymer Railway's SLYM-11513, an Advanced Steam Locomotive on the alien planet Gymnome, to shunt train cars between siding tracks in increasingly convoluted rail yards, while minimizing your move count and time so as to hopefully keep your Engineer and Conductor-Brakegoo's spirits up.

More information, FAQ below the cut:

I mentioned on twitter that I had a mild pet peeve for deltarune artists drawing young Carol Holiday as a y2k goth baddie when mathematically she probably grew up in the 70s/80s and her fashion would reflect the alternative scenes of the time. And I wanted to be productive soooouhhhhh vintage punk deer woman it is

*gathers all of the people in the world who write the number 7 with a little dash in the center of it so I can study them like little critters and find out what makes them do that*

There’s actually a lot of history regarding the development writing systems and why there are different visual representations of numerals, but the short answer is: it’s regional, and you probably picked up how to make your numbers look based on your parents or your primary school teachers

I do it out of spite because in grade school a kids detective story identified the culprit by saying NO American wrote their sevens with a line and I thought that was super flimsy evidence and it made me so mad I started putting a line through my sevens so the fictional detective would be wrong and then kept doing it for several decades since.

I do feel one can’t underestimate the “elementary school child taught themselves how to do this Out Of Spite” crowd

deltarune "which character are you" quiz but it asks you how old you are at the beginning and if you answer anything above a certain age you automatically get Old Man no matter what

"which deltarune character are you" quiz but the only possible outcome is the soul

what is it that they say? a young man asks the sage why there are no longer dragons. the old man says "dragons are the same. something happened to your eyes"

a young man asks the sage why there are no longer dragons. the old man says "they're long enough."

Ways Deltarune can conceivably have only one ending in spite of the Weird Route diverging so wildly, in ascending order of Fuckery:

  1. The two routes somehow converge after a certain point
  2. The Weird Route dead ends in a developer-intended softlock
  3. The planned ending is such a huge non sequitur that it genuinely won't matter what you've done up to that point
  4. The game's final shot is a live-action FMV of Toby Fox waking up and saying "wow, what a weird dream"
  5. Sans shows up and kills everyone
  6. Roguelike mode

cars are so much scarier than planes. i've literally never been afraid on an airplane like first of all being on a plane is fun. second of all you're in a big as fuck vehicle with no other vehicles around for miles and the person at the wheel is a professional and not just Some Guy. one time i was getting a ride home from a nonbinary friend of a friend who was driving very erratically down the highway at 1am and they said to me unprompted "i have ocd so i only drive at speeds that are multiples of five"

this was years ago but i ran into them again at a party and they didn't recognize me (transition) so they started hitting on me and wouldnt stop talking to me about criminal minds yaoi. and i've never had this happen with an airline pilot, at least not an openly airline pilot

person who assumes maleness as default and refuses to interrogate this: yeah this character has no gender, they're just a little Guy

I want a burger but I really do not want to walk down to burgerplace in this cold and rain and I don’t have a car :(

Let me rephrase. I want to walk down to burgerplace. I would probably faint before getting there

I've come up with a new way of blogging about mundane parts of my day

What are some good beginner wants for someone just starting to get into desire?

This was said as a joke almost certainly and I accept that reading of it,

But I have Things To Say!!

So; beginner wants for someone just getting into desires.

The trick is to start small. Even smaller. The smallest. It has to be something you can do, that no-one is asking you to do, even implicitly. It cannot be success, cannot be love or fame, and cannot rely on luck.

Try wanting to see a sunset. Try wanting to feel the wind on your face. Try wanting to listen to a bird chirping, or to taste something you haven't tasted before, or to walk down a different path than usual. Then, when you feel ready, do it. Savor the feeling of having wanted something and gotten it.

A small choice, that impacts nothing except that you chose to do it.

Desire is a skill;

It can be learned, it can be practiced.
