18+ | Posts/memes that are about or sound like they're about Murderbot + friends.

Pinned post time! (Not to be confused with "Pin-Lee post time," which we love but which is sadly not this post.)

Heyo! Welcome to Murderbot Moodboard, a blog for celebrating The Murderbot Diaries and the Murderbot TV show by sharing quotes, fanart/fanfic, memes, screencaps, meta discussions, and basically any post which sounds like it could be about Murderbot and friends clients/mutual administrative assistants.

All fandom posts will be tagged #murderbot for easy searching. Posts about the books will be tagged #the murderbot diaries, posts about the show will be tagged #murderbot tv, and both tags will be included only on posts where both apply. Posts that have been scheduled using the Tumblr queue function are tagged #sanqueueary moon.

This blog is enthusiastically supportive of the TV show and its cast. Posts about new TV episodes will also be tagged #murderbot spoilers through the Saturday or Sunday after the episode drops on Apple TV+. Posts about the books will only receive spoiler tags if the book was just published, so if you're new to the books and want to avoid spoilers, I'd suggest filtering #the murderbot diaries. Other commonly used tags are discussed in more detail at the bottom of this post (below the cut).

This blog is positive towards both canon and non-canon ships and commonly reblogs some shipping-related posts. I am strongly against the harassment of other fans for their fanworks or headcanons; to quote this Tumblr post by allthingswhumpyandangsty, we should not "[value] the nonexistent lives of fictional characters more than real living, breathing people." Or to quote this Tumblr post by scottstilesliam, "No ship, or any aspect of a fictional universe, is important enough to treat another real life human being badly." Ship and let ship, folks! Murderbot/Gurathin posts are tagged #murderathin; Murderbot/Mensah posts are tagged #mensahbot; Murderbot/ART posts that show a more intimate or explicit relationship than currently portrayed in canon are tagged #murderhelion (whereas generally canon-compliant relationship content is tagged #mutual administrative assistants).

BTW my main is @notcruvusmemes, so if you see me interacting with your posts from that blog, it's the same person. :)

concept for a tv show: a cute simple love story between an assistant and a chauffeur or bodyguard or whatever else rich people have and in the background the rich people are having the wildest telenovela level drama that we only catch glimpses of

(Flustered assistant) "So... do you want to go on a coffee date?" (Very flustered bodyguard) "I'd love to!"

(While they're looking at eachother cutely, we hear a woman screaming in the background "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CHEATED ON ME WITH MY BROTHER???" . Then somebody jumps off a window)

Exactly you get me

This is the exact opposite ratio of content that Murderbot wants in a TV show and would drive it up the wall lol

Murderbot diaries is really just a bunch of horror/thriller plots from the perspective of the Deus Ex Machina. Except it has anxiety. And 100% believes they are all going to die. And it has an eldritch horror bff that rides shotgun in it's brain. Wonderful

You know, for a bunch of pacifists from a non-violent political entity, the PresAux team was actually quite good at violence when needed. Sometimes they were as effective as a pack of angry chihuahuas attacking a t-rex, but still.

Mensah was capable to deal with the enemy SecUnit while dragging along a hallucinating and useless at that moment Murderbot. And later it was she who took out GrayCris' leader. She doesn't like violence, truly resent it and tries to avoid it even at her own expense. But when shit gets real she acts.

Arada came up with the idea how to kill the first SecUnit (RIP unnamed SecUnit, it wasn't your fault) with a hopper. And Pin-Lee are absolutely (albeit accidentally) lethal with a wrench.

We haven't seen Gurathin use physical violence (only suffer from it) because he prefers psychological one and his weapon of choice is staring at his enemies until they explode or something. And while he looks about as threatening as a wet noodle, I think he, being a former spy, is capable of the dirtiest of tricks. Like jumping on you and biting your ear when you least expect it.

Ratthi... well, Ratthi can't be allowed near any kind of weapon, and this was probably the first time he'd ever held a real gun. He just wanted to be helpful, ok? And maybe feel a little heroic.

The only time Bhradwaj tried to attack someone, Murderbot took the blow. So she's in Ratthi's 'don't give them any weapons' club.

Overall, for people dealing with this kind of violence for the first time, they did surprisingly well.

this is a long shot and i'm also vaguely doxxing myself, but this is important to me: the queer film festival i help organize is struggling financially. after our 25th edition, between the increase in operation costs and cutbacks on cultural funding, we're currently unable to start organizing the 26th edition.

we're entirely volunteer-run, this is a passion project that has managed to exist for over two decades while supporting international cinema and emerging artists, it is a big part of the local queer cultural life where i live, being part of it is very important to me, and if you can afford to donate some money to it i'd really, really appreciate it.

i very much realize that times are tough for everyone, that it's christmas, that this is for a festival in south-eastern france that you, the person reading this post, probably cannot go to at all, that culture is important but not an immediate concern for survival. i am aware of all this. but as i said, it's important to me! sharing this post is also much appreciated.

when you forget to strap down the transport box...

like would they travel upright for maximum propaganda when you open the box. or will there be safe saving versions? do secunits go in intact or disassembled? do you assemble them on site like an ikea?

i shared my thoughts on cubicles as fridges and secunit feet and secunit arm guns. now you get the transport boxes.

Poor MB! What if the box goes upside down??

Local man chooses to stand by principles, much to his chagrin.

Is one of my favorite character types. Yes, he is going to be idealistic, and righteous, and virtuous and it's going to make things so much harder for him and he knows this dang well and he hates it.

hello, yes, this is my id speaking, do you have any recommendations along these lines
