I love how Veilguard is basically just Sims now for everyone and their favourite Dragon Age OCs and characters. The 'Rook' character creations are so creative. I'm seeing people make their HoF, their Hawkes, creating Ancient Arlathan characters, creating the Evanuris - the creativity is amazing.

No complaints from me. I love playing in the sandbox.

heated rivalry is a perfect show because you can think about the characters as these complex nuanced portrayals of intersections of race and masculinity and trauma and geopolitical conflict and how those traits play out within how the characters interact and you can also think shane hollander rides that thang like he’s being held at gunpoint but he’s holding the gun to his own head

major league hockey fan watching ilya kiss shane’s helmet at the 2017 all star game and posting “god had to put ilya rozanov and shane hollander on rival teams because otherwise they’d be having so much gay sex they wouldn’t have time for hockey” and then a few years later reblogging themselves like “WELL”

I know Pluribus is going to enter the annals of television because it's a rare current example of trusting your audience and not treating them with 'kid gloves' with metaphors boiled down to a mush for easy consumption. It's about colonialism it's about generative ai and addiction to convenience, it's about cults it's about queerness and assimilation, it's about consumerism it's about communication, the many barriers that exist to it and the irreplacable joy of connection between individuals, precious for its flaws and existing despite everything stacked against it.

Like I think no matter where the show goes from here, I'll probably be in a situation where I'm among annoying people or having a shit miscommunication time with them, and I'll remember this show and feel a smidge of gratefulness for the fact that I get to live in this frictioned imperfect world of assholes where anything can happen.
