PINNED POST FOR INFO AND SHIT

hi, i'm robin, i also go by jude or judie. i'm a 22 y/o from Romania with a Bachelor's Degree in Universal and Comparative Literature, with a minor in English Language, Culture and Literature from the University of Bucharest. i specialised in 20th century american literature, especially horror novels and their adaptations

i don't support censorship of any kind and in any circumstances. i don't believe in immoral art. all art is important and should be preserved. i believe the attitudes in fandom that lead to fights, harrasement and even real world harm, all over the perceived morality of the way some ppl choose to appreciate art is frankly disgusting and i abhor anybody who takes part in such behaviors

i'm a non-binary transmasc person and i use they/he/it/she pronouns. i'm also aromantic, my aromantic identity is very important for me and i talk about it often. i'm not as implicated in discourse as i used to be, but i support trans unity, the use of the term transandrophobia and its iterations (transmisandry, anti-transmasculinity etc), i don't support exclusionism and the presence of radical feminists in queer spaces as i view them as inherently hostile

i'm a feminist and personal pacifist although i believe violence is necessary and sometimes justified in class struggles and in the fight for human rights, i'm just not willing to ever harm another living being outside of self defence. i believe in collaborative effort and civic actions before any drastic action. i don't support people who make a mockery out of activism and treat it like a joke and i'm highly skeptical of people who are more interested in creating community infighting rather than advocate for their communities. i also don't believe in the idea of unique opression, i believe it's impossible for a form of opression to only ever be directed towards some groups and never others. some might call those other groups "collateral damage" but i believe that that it's unfair to the people who deal with those struggles

i reject the idea that the feminist fight is women vs men as it is a reductive, useless and childish understanding of feminism. the actual fight is everyone vs patriarchy, and patriarchy =/= men, but the toxic mysogynistic, sexist, classist, amatocisheteronormative system that hurts everyone regardless of assigned sex, coercively assigned sex or self identified gender

i hold a special place in my heart for the transmasculine community as i used to be part of it. i might be using most regular pronouns online, but irl i use exclusively masculine pronouns and i'm often lumped in with their community. many of their struggles are also mine and the ones i don't share i still intimately understand. that being said i don't allow intercommunity fighting, any trans masc/man who badmouths trans fems/women will be swiftly blocked, this goes for any queer on queer slander

i don't do debates. i don't care for it. u are not gonna change my mind and i won't change yours. i also think that it's distasteful to argue with ppl whose whole point is "this minority is whinning too much" "this minority is not as opressed as they say" "this group of ppl is an acceptable target for my anger". i research on my own all sides of any arguments. but if u try to debate on opression with me i'm gonna block u on sight

i'm professionally diagnosed with ADHD, severe depression, OCD and BPD, i will not tolerate any villanizing of mental illnesses, regardless of circumstances. yes, this even goes for the other personality disorders from the B Cluster (Narcissistic, Anti-Social and Histrionic), and all the disorders under the Schizofrenia umbrella

DNI/DO NOT INTERACT

please remember that first and foremost DNI lists and respecting them are a courtesy and not a right. they are part of an unwritten set of rules created to help everyone have a safer and more pleasurable internet experience. this code is nowadays either misused or completely disregarded. i value this code and respect it, i ask others to do me the same courtesy

if u read what i explained above you will understand the reasons behind this list, the things i didn't mention above will be explained

  • minors (i reblog NSFW)
  • zionists (as a pacifist i obv don't support genocides)
  • anti-shippers/anti-fiction
  • exclusionists
  • pro contact radqueers (not implicated in this discourse so i won't add more)
  • radfems
  • ppl against the term transandrophobia
  • ppl against transunity
  • ppl who endorse terms like "narcissistic abuse" "bpd abuse" misuse psychopath, generally use mental disorders to describe abuse or abusers that have not been recognized as such by themselves or a medical authority
  • modern day self described marxists or leninists who don't come from a post-communist country (they have a tendency to be very disrespectful towards the struggles of the ussr and ussr-adjacent countries from the 20th century)
  • pro-russia, pro-putin (do i have to explain)
  • pro-censorship
  • natalists (i find them to be extremely classist and a tad eugenicists as a group)

find me on ao3 if u like bad fanfic

Being aroallo and lovequeer and yearning for a life partnership is an agonizing existence because like how do I explain to alloroses that I want a non-romantic, intimate, life partnership that has sex but no it’s not romance despite how much amatonormativity has taught you that such a relationship looks to be romantic at a surface level and also most aroallos only want fwbs and non-committal hookups and while I do nod my head and tip my hat in solidarity I can’t help but feel a sense of dread and loneliness that I’ll never be able to find someone who wants the same kind of relationship I do.

These guys would be the biggest hit at any Renaissance fair they went to.

An envoy from a kingdom in the far East comes to your hamlet and of course you give them a warm welcome!

Do you have any idea what access to the spice road would do for the tiny Dukedom of Fairground By the Budget Hilton?

You don’t need a "plot-relevant" reason to make some character AroAllo. btw. You can just do that. Without a reason. Without justification. AroAllo characters can just exist in any given situation non-AroAllos may exist in.

The plot doesn’t need to revolve around their allosexual aromanticism, their queerness doesn’t need to be central to the plot, they can just exist.

If any alloro character can go out and slay dragons, so can an AroAllo character 👍

I'm happy that there are published books with aro protagonists in them at all, but I think the reason none of them have really resonated with me is that said protagonists are just... way too nice about being aromantic. sure, they might complain that it's annoying when their friends get into relationships, they might criticize societal expectations around marriage, but at the end of it all they always say "I don't experience attraction but I can appreciate it when it happens to someone else!"

where's the rage! where's the spite! where's the thinking about amatonormativity so hard you want to destroy everyone who's ever been in a relationship! hell to couples heaven to singles let aros be mean

my main issue with the majority of mainstream transfeminist analytic re: transmasculinity, is the fact that it cannot be extrapolated to any cultural sphere outside of the west. which is... most places in the world.

even if i conceded to the idea that transmascs within the western world have power over transfems(/structurally opress transfems), this does not extend to any place outside of the western world.

take, for example, places where transfeminine identities receive more legal, cultural, and historical recognition than transmasculine ones. transfeminine people have a capacity for legal protections that transmasculine people do not.

a lot of the time, these are also places where transmasculine people are at a high risk of being forced into arranged marriages.

another example, a country where all people designated to be "female" regardless of their actual sex (i.e., their transsexuality) are legally forced to wear a hijab in public, or travel with a mahram, or discontinue education beyond middle school... et cetera.

an analytic that asserts that transmasculine people benefit from (trans)misogyny, or oppress cis women cannot be utilized to narrate the experiences of these people. an analytic that asserts that transmasculine people have access to patriarchal power or that transmasculinity is encouraged cannot be utilized to narrate the experiences of these people.

if transfeminism as a movement will prevail, we must theorize on the material conditions of transgender people in the third world, not just white women in seattle.

honestly, in a world where a family could realistically murder their transmasculine son for the transgression of transmasculinity, we shouldn't be arguing about whether or not transmascs experience oppression. mais, c'est la vie.

i fear i need to fire some rent lowering gunshots, so:

- i fucking hate isff. if you support her please just block me. same goes for pt, pdb and all the other annoying ass trans separatists. they have been documented perpetuating transphobia, racism, abusive and predatory behavior, exorsexism, intersexism, and so on.

- transandrophobia is real. if you make fun of it or you harass people for believing in it, you’re part of the problem.

- criticizing trans women for their actual documented poor behavior is not transmisogyny. seriously, what the fuck. opposing transmisogyny means treating trans women like any other woman. it does not mean elevating them on a pedestal where they are angels who can do nothing wrong.

- people pushing for transmascs to shut up or insinuating that masculinity is inherently abusive are not transfeminists. they are radfems. this is TERF ideology coming from a different angle.

can’t wait for all the death and rape threats this post gets me from people who were normal 2 years ago but who i forgot to unfollow before they drank the White Queer Koolaid

not pocket-deer-belly saying this like and his ilk don’t literally do this to transmascs and other “tme” people who are easy to punch down on lmao. don’t pull out the “liberals are bad” bullshit when you’re constantly doing the exact same thing!

enemies with benefits to friends with benefits where they fuck the entire time but never fall in love or date or marry or lovers or anything more than friends who fuck

as far as i'm concerned, all romance is horror

Ohhhhhh my god u think all horror is romance actually? should we tell everyone? Should we throw a party?should we invite guillermo del toro

Masterpost of Transmasc Theory

The following is a list of posts, articles, sites etc that talk about transandrophobia and/or anti-transmasculinity, or broader issues and experiences of transmascs that may not use (or even like) this language. I think it's important to look at works from people of all perspectives, and I think it's important for us to be able to look at others' works and see if we can apply our own frameworks (i.e anti-transmasculinity) to the ideas they're presenting as well.

I have also included some texts that I consider foundational to these theories, and I highly recommend reading them to see the frameworks a lot of us are building upon.

Some of these works are much more academic in nature, which I understand is an entry barrier. If anyone needs help with parts of works that you may not understand or would like a second opinion, feel free to DM me or send me an ask and I'll try my best to help out if spoons and time is available.

** = contains more links you should also click through and read thoroughly. Some links may be repeated here, because I think they're also foundational and/or exceptional works.

Unless they present hyperfeminine, butches don’t have access to the job market. You will not be considered if you don’t wear nice women’s clothes. If you set up catering, you will get told, “I am disgusted; a woman who thinks she’s a man is cooking for me.” So butch lesbians normally have an assistant, or their femme partner if they have one, who is more feminine-looking to run the front so customers don’t know a masculine-presenting person is cooking behind the curtains. Many of us become sex workers [due to lack of job opportunities].… But then when police raid brothels and homes, the masculine lesbians get treated “like men.” This means more forceful handcuffing, kneeling, and stripping their shirts off.

— Rosa, lesbian and sex worker rights defender El Salvador, quoted by the Human Rights Watch

[A Story About Deer Alastor & Human Lucifer]

This is totally just my imagination, so heads up if that’s not your thing!

I wanted to see all the shippings—Deer Alastor × Lucifer, Demon Alastor × Human Lucifer, and Human Alastor × Human Lucifer—so I made a story that combines them all. Yeah… I’m a little greedy like that. 😅

While thinking this up, Alastor looked so happy that I had a lot of fun drawing it too.

Next, I feel like human-disguised Alastor and the Morningstar parent–child “pseudo-family” could bring even more chaotic fun.

If it’s okay, I’d love to keep using this setting to draw more illustrations from time to time! 💫

i see we have circled back to "trans men need to be/want to be exactly like cis men or they're not real trans men" yet again
