Joel, unknowingly being red-green colourblind, spent many years under the assumption that he and Grian matched colours. They did match colours when they first met (because the latter was still dressed after Link, who is green), but Joel has somehow been completely oblivious to the fact that Grian changed his entire style at some point, and just thought he only stopped bleaching (not even dyeing) his hair because he could tell the shade was different.

In fact, he likes light green because he thought that was Lizzie's colour (and that they matched), who decided not to tell him just to see how long it would take for him to figure it out. Every time he buys a gift for her without anyone else accompanying him, it's a tossup what colour the gift will be. He just assumes his friends are really good at picking out minute variations in colour, including Jimmy for some reason. But Lizzie loves receiving green gifts anyway, because she herself associates the colour with Joel.

He kind of had an inkling when he joined 3L, where he saw the life colours and internally went, "Aren't all of them the same? ...Must be Grian trolling LOL". And somehow it's never come up for years, because he just assumed everyone had to keep count to differentiate between green, yellow and red names, as a legitimate tactic.

And then on HC you get things such as Joel not realising the difference between Emp S2 Gem and HC S9 Gem. Or that Etho's eyes are such different colours. Or that X and EX are two different people.

Pearl and Grian are twins (Pearl is the older, and loves pointing it out to whoever she meets), with Joel and Jimmy as their younger siblings. 

Pearl, Grian, and Joel all go completely insane when they wear red. Murder and any crimes are all on the table. Jimmy, however… doesn’t. He’s tried, but it’s never quite worked out. Grian is nearly always in insanity mode, while Pearl and Joel switch into it whenever they’re angry 

All four can change their form at will. Pearl, Grian, and Jimmy are all avians of some kind- Pearl is a snowy owl, Grian a scarlet macaw, and Jimmy a canary. Joel, meanwhile, is a bug- one loosely similar to a firefly. He said it was “close enough” since he still had wings, although the rest don’t exactly buy it. They say he’s adopted whenever anybody asks- whether he actually is or isn’t adopted is unclear.

Grian and Pearl will be awake at the most insane hours of the night. Pearl will be sitting on the couch, drinking some coffee, watching a movie or doing some work. Just normal, chill stuff. Grian, meanwhile, is sitting in the background, small selections of random food mashed together, shoveling the food into his mouth with his bare hands as if possessed. Pearl keeps her eyes glued to the screen just so she doesn’t have to see what in the world her brother is doing. Whenever Jimmy or Joel come downstairs, they have to drag Grian away from whatever monstrosity he has created, after which he promptly realizes what he has done. He spends the next hour cleaning up and apologizing profusely. This is a repeated occurrence, and none of them know why.

At one point, all four decided to do a “tour”, where they went around to various people’s houses, and begged them to let them stay the night. Scar, Gem, and Lizzie all joined them along the way, mostly because they were bored and thought it would be fun. They were very commonly kicked out of the house for causing general chaos. Lizzie spawned an axolotl army at one point, Grian breaks everyone’s machines, Pearl refuses to let her dogs stay outside and leaves fur everywhere, Scar sets something on fire, Gem manages to fill the entire house with flowers, Jimmy is Jimmy, and Joel ends up killing a bunch of horses. 

Joel just sits and stares at people because he's bored and wants to be around people, but doesn't want to talk with them cuz words suck.

Tango wasn’t born and therefore doesn’t have a belly button. A handful of other Hermits have the same situation.

90% of the time, the Hermits do not have blood. If someone does have blood, it’s either for the bit or because one of the people they’re basing close to is a vampire this season.

The current winner for “number of seasons with blood” is Cleo. (What can they say, it’s really fun to scare people by dripping blood)

There's a restaurant in arizona that (if you wear a tie there) cuts off your tie and hangs it up because of their No Fancy policy, he'd probably love going there and seeing if they hung his up and if he can find previous ones

Since the beginning of Season 11, Joel has been saying “Everything’s fine, everything’s normal” at the most random of times. Yet, no one has called him out on it. His base? Yeah not normal. His outfit? Definitely not normal. But that? Nah that’s Normal.

Why? Because that’s normal. Everything is Fine and Everything Is Normal.

The hermits watch Villager news. After all, it's the only news source you can trust

Grian has a mild cinnamon allergy. It doesn’t exactly hurt him, but if he gets it on his face he gets a rash for a bit and it’s really annoying. Unfortunately, he also loves the taste of cinnamon.

cleo has really shaky hands (dying shoots ur nerves a bit i imagine) but loves having tacky 80s inspired painted nails. To combat this every few weeks a hermit (typically joe) would do their nails and they would have a little spa day. Eventually word spread about the nail days and now its a server wide event. Once every two weeks they all get together and paint each others nails and do a face mask or two.

For Scar's new monopoly man's skin, he fully committed to the skin. He shaved his head completely and dyed his hair (well, only what remained) white. When he switches out of that skin, he wears a really realistic wig that cleo made for him

xB's music taste is largely 1990s-2000s music, large emphasis on girl and boy bands at the time. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure, but he enjoys it. He's not afraid to break out Backstreet Boys or *NSYNC for karaoke nights but also will sing along to every 2000s emo/nu-metal/pop-punk song Hypno picks out. Same with Keralis with like Britney Spears or something.

(idk why but I have this visual image in my mind of xB in the shower singing along to "Viva Forever" by the Spice Girls so take that however you please.)

Zedaph is currently working hard to see if it's possible to fuse a Totem of Undying to a player and if it could keep reviving them over again and never die

Cleo's hair is maintaned with all of Gem's hair that she sheds/brushes out (curly haired folks know lmao)

Before Gem, Cleo's hair was becoming very thin. Now it's full and luscious (and believe me, it took Cleo FOREVER to agree to this)
