YES so im assuming this is daeron ii okay so daeron gets sent off to a septry in the stormlands after failing to rescue his sister from his evil father's maidenvault, and then gets switcheroo'd and sent to live with his martell cousins. he is affianced to his cousin nymella martell but she's lesbo and doesnt wanna marry and daeron falls in love with tyshara dayne, who is nymella's niece but like the ages are fine dw.
he marries tyshara and they are monogamous :) he forgoes the wife in the faith/wife in the blood dichotomy. sees it as weird and something his father did that he doesn't want to do
tyshara dies in a jan 6th evangelical coup and daeron is left widowed :( he wishes to remain unmarried but his small council want him to have a queen and he is finally convinced when they tell him his kids need a mother, so he remarries to ysabel dondarrion, origingally ysabel penrose. ysabel is a widow and step-mother to daeron's hand, quentyn dondarrion. ysabel has three children of her own.
ysabel is a good queen but not a great mother, despite the fact daeron married her so his children would have a mother. she rules her children like they are unruly vassals, not in a narcissistic way its just how she is. her mother was a bastard dornishwoman so she's very severe about appearances.
daeron's sister helaena ends up becoming his major caregiver (daeron sustained serious head injuries during the coup, causing major brain damage that gets worse as he gets older) and some people call her his wife-in-the-blood but it's not official and they dont see each other that way (theyre normal)
