My three favorite oddball whitetail doe deer skulls.

One is crooked, likely due to wry-nose syndrome or a similar birth defect. Another is a fanged / "vampire" deer with a nice pair of vestigial canine teeth. The third has a strangely enlarged rostral fenestra—only deer skull I've ever seen with such an anomaly.

  • This bird normally occurs in parks of northern Coastal Europe and SIberia. It is very rarely seen in the U.S.

a male greater prairie chicken displays by ‘booming’. the prairie chicken’s mating ritual involves puffing out the air sacs on their necks and snapping their tails. these behaviors take place on ‘booming grounds’, largely vegetation-free areas where the males may display for up to two months.

chainmaille quilt squares. because all I ever do is make chainmaille, make quilts, or make some crossover between the two
