I support trans rights (obviously) and multispec labels. I also believe that there is nuance in literally everything and that you can like whatever you like - BUT, if you write in///cestual and/or pe//dophilic content that is meant to be for pleasure, then you should NOT be surprised when people hate your guts. Speaking of which, don't even look at me if you do that!

I am a Minecraft expert, Kirby enthusiast, and Hollow Knight enjoyer, as well as someone who lovingly grew up with Spore and object shows. Puzzle game speedrunner, and if you've seen something odd and meta in any media, there is a very good chance I've gotten into it too!

super simple low-effort ao3 summary methods that are 1000% better and 1000% less annoying than just saying you suck at summaries:

  • copypaste the first few lines of the fic. u already wrote ‘em. let ‘em be their own damn hook
  • if ur feeling fancy & don’t mind showing ur hand a bit, copypaste the first few lines of the fic that u feel are esp. Important or Interesting - the ones where u first start getting into the real meat of things
  • state the main tropes! theyre probably already in ur tags - just say them again - maybe as a full sentence if ur feelin fancy. or with a joke if ur feelin Extra fancy
  • ask a question. pose a hypothetical. eg what happens if u take [character] and put them in [situation]?
  • make an equation. [character] + [thing] = [outcome]
  • just write like a one-sentence summary of what the fuck is going down. just one (1) sentence. doesnt matter if it doesn’t cover every important aspect. or if it sounds bland. any summary sentence is gonna be miles better than “idk i suck at summaries”
  • just…explain the fic like u would to a friend? it doesnt have to be a polished back of the book blurb. it can just be “[pairing] coffee shop au, but like, still with murder, and also i made everyone trans. enjoy”
  • just stick a meme in there
  • honestly who cares
  • just put literally anything but a self deprecating comment in there & ur golden

my corner store guy is a 50 year old man who's my best friend in the world and recently he was like "you're too pretty to be single I have some nephews you should meet. very handsome!" and I was like "a niece might be more up my alley" and he just got more excited and said "ah even better! I was overselling my nephews but my nieces are very beautiful"

“theres nothing wrong with him hes just annoying” is such a powerful grounding affirmation thank you toby fox. like you know what actually i don’t need to be mean to this person bc the thing that irritates me about them is perfectly harmless and subjective. it’s literally fine

*through gritted teeth* being annoying is not a moral failure

having undiagnosed autism as like an elementary schooler is like “hi!!!! i love everyone and want everyone to be my friends!!!! :D” and then everyone is really fucking mean to you constantly for reasons you can’t even begin to comprehend

To update this, the astronaut didn’t actually do it, she and her wife were getting a divorce and the wife plead guilty to lying to the feds about it

And framing your ex for a crime mid-divorce while they are actively in space is some Agatha Christie level shit

So I've seen the post going around that's kind of like "kids should be able to read whatever they want and not have their choices censored by adults" and I largely agree with one caveat which is that children need to be able to opt in. I remember being 12 and sneaking some dirty books, and being interested and excited to read a book with something more sexy in it, and no one died, and everything was fine, and I was not forever scarred. However I do remember being shown a a horror film at seven by a babysitter and not being able to sleep for three weeks, and if I'd known how scary the movie was I wouldn't have wanted to watch it.

Kids can usually know what they can handle. Kids cover their eyes at scary points in films, kids read past stuff they aren't ready for. But it is good to be clear like "Oh that book might have some scary parts you might not like, are you sure you want to get that one?" Or "Oh this book has some grown up things in them that you might have a hard time understanding, I want to check that your okay with that." Like give kids the warnings and options and they will probably make a safe and informed decision. It doesn't have to be either or.

I also think kids should be allowed to be wrong about what they can handle without getting in trouble for it. They should be able to go to the adults in their life and ask for help processing what they saw or read without fear of judgement or punishment.

anyways, tnt apparently forgot to implement the name filter for the varwolf quest.

so we get lovely creatures like our dearly departed Hellbitch.

irresistible, unforgettable, I couldn't stay my hand

messed around in blockbench and made a little robot girl the size of a gamecube. you can take her apart with crowbars and hammers and its actually awesome actually

Video game concept (I have no idea if/how it would even work):

The background music varies according to which characters you have in your party. An area of the game that'd otherwise have Yucky And Spooky atmosphere and a background ambience inspiring dread is instead calm and soothing, if somewhat melancholy, if you have the character with you who has mentioned liking places like that, it feels like home. Combat music changes from "survival horror" to "yay we're kicking ass" if you've got the big brawler with you. There's a subtle but clear increase in birdsong in the background ambience if you've got the wilderness I Am One With Nature -character in your party.

The way your companions see the environment you're in has an influence on how it appears to you.

"The differences in environment and sensibilities between the city and the countryside:

L: 'We are looking forward to seeing you 😌. It is about 15 minutes walk from the station to the lodgings, so we will prepare a car❗❗'

R: 'If it's just 15 minutes I can walk that easily!'

L: 'Bears will appear'

R: 'Bears will?'

L: 'Big, bears will'

R: 'I would love to humbly accept your gracious offer of the car'

I wish we lived in a beautiful world where people did not use things for evil because I wish I could send gifts to people without knowing their address or asking them to doxx themselves. because like. for example sometimes i will be like oh that's a cute guinea pig plushie I wish I could send it to my guinea pig mutual who I've never spoken to or interacted with because I think they'd like it. but I can't do that without being like, hi, I'm a stranger on the internet you've never spoken to, tell me your home address, I want to mail you an object. I just want to be able to hand a box to the post office worker and be like, hello, this is for guineapigmutual, and they will nod and say yep we know exactly who that is and they will take it and mail it and I don't need to ever know the actual address or name or anything. unfortunately things cannot work like this but I can dream
