Marilyn in the original costume for the “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” number in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. After the discovery of her nude calendar, this outfit was deemed too revealing by the studio and designer William Travilla came up with the iconic pink gown as a last minute replacement.
