I'm reading Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik and like 40% of it is exquisitely described, phantasmagorical scenery, jewelry, clothes, etc. Terrible book to read if you don't have much of a visual imagination, therefore. I'm sorry, Naomi, this is wasted on me. It must have been so much work to think it up all and create this atmosphere and it's just going in one eyeball and out the other.

For someone with vivid visual imagination reading "going in one eyeball and out the other" was a dreadful experience.

Right. I clearly don't know how to use these pens properly and it became a streaky mess so I decided to keep playing with it and outline it. It did not make it any less of a streaky mess but i tried to make it more intentional by adding more harsh lines. He turned out more sinister than I planned but you know what I don't hate it.

I hate this so much.

I made this ugly shit about 10 years ago using clay and latex for whatever reason. It was meant to be Link, but now it was brought to my attention that this absolute garbage creation of mine that for some reason I'm not allowed to throw away looks more like Solas, and now I can't unsee it.

Okay so this is Solas now, so I needed to make some changes. I'm considering making him a little winter palace hat too, although I'm not sure how to make it glitch through his nose.

Anyway I gave him an eye colour change and some make up. Enjoy I guess.

I came full circle. I got into Dragon Age after playing The Veilguard. I didn't even know who the inquisitor was, nor did I notice you could customise them. I made an elf in the Inquisition to play the canon version that led to that, and straight away got distracted and made another character just to romance Dorian. I wasn't even going to finish that playthrough. He really grew on me and I've just finished the game with him (first and only time so far). I kept the inquisition and swore to stop Solas to see how that changes things. My first time ever playing a game where I carry over decisions so making my inquisitor in Veilguard was super exciting.

They grow up so fast. 🤧 I'm looking forward to seeing him again, even if his sense of fashion... changed a bit.

I finished Dragon Age: The Inquisition and I was going to say it was incredible from beginning to end, but then I decided to stick around for the credits and... It's incredible even beyond the end. I'm sorry, but Cassandra reading passages from Varric's new book about the Inquisition? Pure gold.
