E-shoe (2012)

Chicks on Speed (with Max Kibardin)

The e-shoe is the worlds first high heeled shoe guitar designed and produced by Chicks on Speed and Max Kibardin. The E-shoe was produced using rapid prototyping techniques, circuits and utilises OSC signals to communicate to a lap top and external PA system. The e-shoe triggers one shot audio samples from Abelton live and has been used extensively by Chicks on Speed in studio recordings, live performances and worn by various celebrities for fashion editorials, such as kate Moss and Katie Perry.

Industrialised plastic plateau, vinyl upper, galvansied screws, spray painted surface, arduino, xbee, rechargable lithium battery, osc enabled. Circuit and coding by Alex Posada.
