I haven't been active here (or on Tumblr in general, much) but I just wanted to say... I really love my boyfriend :) I'm so lucky to have him, and my feelings for him never changed even in the time I've been inactive if anyone wondered if anything happened! Nope!! We're still happily together!!
We've been together as a couple for almost six months now. Even with some inevitable ups and downs I feel really safe and happy with him. He takes such good care of me. He's gentle, he's kind, he's caring, and he's so so patient. Just being with him is healing. <3 I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. My loving, dearest other half.
I want to marry him one day. Soon!
Dating my boyfriend scares me because okay, you have a lovable personality, and also you have amazing art, and you're so creative, and hardworking, and kind to a fault, and extremely patient and gentle, and very understanding, and incredibly funny and entertaining and fun to be around, and the perfect boyfriend, and on top of all of that you're handsome and hot as hell. Like... okay, when do I start paying karma for bagging this one? How much of my lifespan did I lose for this exactly? Not that it isn't worth it though.

Love isn't just grand gestures and cliche romance (as nice as these two are). Love is also when he loves everything that makes you happy, even when it has nothing to do with him. Love is when he loves your friends he's never once spoken to and cherishes them as if they were his own, just because he loves everyone and everything you love. What means something to you, means something to him. What you love is an extension of you, and he loves that too.
My bestie just went "I can't believe you thought you were aromantic for a while you're the most romantic person I know" and it's so funny because my bf said that same thing to me both when we first met and later on when we were dating. I did something for my bf before we were even a couple (before he even confessed actually) and he was like "That was the most romantic thing anyone's ever done for me holy shit" and then a while later I wrote him a letter for new years and he was so pleasantly surprised and went "You are seriously the most romantic person I have EVER met."
Funny because I believe, a week or two before I met him, I was talking about how I wouldn't even make a good bf because I don't even know what romantic feelings were like anymore. If I dated someone we would just be friends who call each others partners. Clearly, I was very very wrong. But of course I'm romantic! I love my bf! I have to make him feel that love! And I sure do know how to make people feel loved. That's always been my special talent.
A while back I saw an artist whose art of herself and her boyfriend is super cute. I saw her art before I met my bf and I was like "Man, when will it be my turn? I need someone like this." A couple days ago I came across her account on my dash again and I was like OMG it's that artist I saw a while back! Lemme check what posts of hers made me yearn back then!! And when I checked I literally saw a bunch of posts (including the ones I saw back when I hadn't met my bf yet) and all of them are SO me and my bf core. I REALLY won with this man. I got exactly what I was wishing for. How much better does it get?
Also it's not like I lack people who are interested in me (in fact, I have the opposite problem). It's just that I rarely feel interested in people. I thought I'd never develop feelings for someone (romantically) before meeting my bf and then BOOM he came into my life and swept me off my feet hehe. It literally couldn't have been anyone else. I'm a very picky guy!!! And he is the best I could've ever picked!!!
This is officially a yapping thread now. Anyway, my bf and I complement each other SO well. It's honestly insane how well we mesh together. We communicate so well. We have similar preferences. We fit in together like two puzzle pieces! He already told me I'm the personification of his ideal type and BOY I could not ask for anyone other than him either. He's everything I could've ever dreamed of hehe.
