It's a simple reason: I just started thinking too much about 10+ years worth of bots and abandoned blogs. I didn't pay much attention before so I didn't realize it was so bad... bots were infesting the walls and climbing under my mattress so I burned the whole house down. Tbh I didn't intend to delete that fast to give people more notice but I am also a creature who yearns for instant gratification. Though an inconvenience to some, I can actually browse the blogs of people who follow me now and it's nice. But thank you, I'm honored ! :,)

I cannot recall for how many years I have followed you, but I know it's quite a lot, and I realise also that I really don't give out enough compliments to people I admire.

It's only now that I sit down and really think about what drew me to your artwork. I think there has always been this very rich quality to your colours and technique. The way you paint is very... muddy in the sense that it looks like wet paint. Like it's freshly applied. I don't know exactly what about it gives it this quality, but I think it has always struck me as unique. You have a lot of dramatic darkness in your work, which I do too, so that may speak for itself. Yours often has that one splash of dominant, saturated colour, though, that feels sort of magical. It makes me think of spellcasting effects in a dark cave, or something like that. Very pleasing to the eye.

I don't think it has ever mattered that I don't know most (if any) of the characters you paint. There's much variety in what you do, and I think your skill alone is what made me follow you back in the day, and what has kept me following through the years. I suppose I just want to tell you once how I appreciate your work whenever it crosses my timeline, since we've never really talked before.

This is incredibly thoughtful and meaningful that I am at a loss for words. I have lost track of how many years we have followed each other, but it really has been like a silent mutual respect I think. In the last few years I myself have tried to do better with commenting and engaging with the artists I follow, so the fact that this makes my heart overflow a little bit motivates me to try to do the same for others. ;; Similarly the sharp contrast and how you define things in your drawings is also what drew me. I can always immediately recognize your art on my dash, especially when it's fully black & white, because that has always been a characteristic of your style that has impressed me the most. Cheers to another year on tumblr!

Would anyone be interested in character reference sheet commissions? Above is a sketch example of how it might look like, but like imagine if it's all rendered and pretty.

It would be more expensive, $400-600 depending on how much stuff you want. The sketch example above is the most basic version. But the first two would be 50% off (since I don't have a fully rendered example) so $200-300

Reference sheet can include:

  • Full body in front view, rendered in style 1 or style 2 of your choice (check my pinned to see examples)
  • Full body in back view, flat colors
  • Additional full body with an alternative outfit, flat colors
  • 2-4 items rendered in style 1 or style 2 of your choice
  • Sketch page, not colored. 3-6 portrait sketches showing different emotions and/or 1-3 full body sketches to show personality through body language.
  • Animals/pets can be added for additional fee.
