Bloodweave Fic Ideas

I'm coming up to the last few chapters of my current Bloodweave fanfic, (The Ring that Binds them) and over the last few months I've thought up some fic ideas, and I'm throwing them here to keep track of them (and to see if anyone wants to see a particular one fully written out because I can't choose which one to write first xD)

-Secret Agent AU

Astarion works as the handler for Karlach who is a spy in an undercover agency. Gale is an inventor who she has to rescue after he gets kidnapped by a supervillain who wants to use his inventions to take over the world.

-Red Riding Hood AU

Inspired by Little Red and the Wolf - Secrets in the Shadows, but based more on the 2011 film. Astarion is the sickly son of the mayor of a small mountain town that has been terrorised by a werewolf for four years. Gale is one of the local woodcutters who Astarion is in love with but his father forbids it, instead arranging for him to marry a man who claims that he can kill the wolf in exchange for Astarions hand in marriage

-Stardust AU

Based on the Stardust film, I've made a previous post about it but the basic premise of it is Gale sees a star fall from the sky, promises Mystra, who he wishes to marry, that he'll bring it back to her as an engagement present. Instead he finds Astarion who he helps rescue from Ethel and Gortash.

-Art Heist AU

Based on that one documentary where two paintings were stolen from an art gallery, and one of them reappears, about to be sold on the black market. The worlds second leading expert on the artist gets brought in to see if he can identify if it's real and causes absolute chaos. Gale plays the expert and Astarion is one of the CIA agents who works with him.

-Arranged Marriage AU with Ascended Astarion

Astarion is told about the Rite of Ascension by a demon who helps him ascend instead of Cazador. It turns out though that as part of the pact Cazador originally made he has to marry a Devil mage to help bridge the gap between the Hells and Faerun. He meets Gale at Sorcerous Sundries when he visits to find some books about magic, and Gale agrees to help teach him about the Weave so that he can learn a bit about his future husband

-Fae AU

A Modern AU with Magic where Gale returns to Waterdeep after divorcing Mystra in time for a once a century festival where the Fae come over from the Fae Wild to find their soulmate. He doesn't want to go but Morena encourages him to. He hides away in the gardens but finds Astarion in his favourite spot. Also those with magic have familiars so Tara and Myshka are there too

-24 Hour bookshop AU

Gale owns a 24 hours bookshop, and works the night shift. He meets Astarion when the man visits to get some recommendations for romance or horror books

-Gale gets a date with Astarion because of his cooking

Inspired by this post, Astarion owns a café which is next to a college, and he asks some students where their lunch is from because it's some of the best smelling food he's ever smelt. It turns out that their professor cooks for them twice a week because he worries about them not eating enough because of their studies. Astarion is sad initially until Gale approaches him one day with some of his cooking since he heard about the mans comments from his students.

-Astarion finds out he has a beauty spot

Inspired by this post, Astarion finds out he has a mole, and Gale explains how it was originally thought that moles were caused by the gods jealousy of mortals beauty

I do plan to do all of these at some point, and I'm sure that more will come about over the next few months because these two boys just won't leave my brain
