It is frustrating to see among us liberals this sort of wake up call in the wake of that woman's murder by ice because none of this is new really like so much of post 9/11 surveillance of Muslims felt like this. I had the talks at six years old that I didnt have rights in america and to be careful about what I say and do, but the problem is that much of US victims are not representative of the majority so when things like the patriot act passed or when muslims, mainly brown and black, were imprisoned en mass and lists were drawn up at airports to harass muslim travelers, it went over peoples heads. And I focus specifically on post 9/11 not because there wasnt mass surveillance and imprisonment of for example the black community before 9/11, but because ice was created after 9/11 and theyre only a problem now when they shoot white people. Like this is happening as an accumulation of post 9/11 islamophobic regulations and anti black surveillance throughout the 20th and 21st century, this is not a random occurrence

Plus the fact that the US/Isntrael test out surveillance and weapons technology in Palestine and black communities before shipping them over to oppress globally southern interest states that may or may not have oil and authoritarians willing to pay a high price.
