A BEAR OF YOUR REFLEXES
they need to invent clubbing for boring sober people who don't like loud music or crowded group dancing. what's the "she should be at the club" for this hypothetical not-me demographic.
roundup of various common suggestions in the notes:
- "the library": a nice space to hang, granted, but not really the same fun social vibes.
- "the night-library that serves pink drinks and tea": okay okay, now we're cooking.
- "coffee shop": a bit more social and rambunctious than the average library, but still too plain imo.
- "the museum": still a tad too formal I feel like but definitely not opposed.
- "the book club": again, not opposed, but book clubs do have the catch of requiring you to plan ahead and do some homework to really enjoy it, not a very "I'm bored on a friday and want to go do something fun" activity.
- "wine tasting":
- "dnd/ttrpg nights": unfortunately I'm stupid and am bad at these games. I mean unfortunately these hypothetical people are stupid and bad at these games.
- "arcades with cover fees at the door and then free games": won't even lie this sounds killer, gonna see if they have any of those in my area.
- "babe the club is wherever you feel confident in yourself, life is a club and I’m just chilling at a bus stop": beautiful. poetic. heart warming. she should be at the bus stop.
first good suggestion on this post in years, FINALLY true equality

HOW could i forget this classic

Been playing a lot of ff14 lately and dark knights a perfect class
the best colors ever actually
for those gradient enjoyers
[ID: three shades of yellow and orange, followed by the same colours in a gradient. /end ID]
I was enjoying the gradient until I read the image ID and realised I'm not seeing the correct gradients

tagged by @dullahandyke so here we go! i love yapping about random stuff so this oughtta be fun.
last thing read: i guess if it counts i've been working on a script for a visual novel some friends and i are submitting to a game jam and i've been reading over it and making sure it's alright. for what it is, i think it'll be fine. other than that i did beta a friend's fic recently. admittedly i don't have as much time to read as i would like, which seems to be a resounding sentiment among my friends ^^'
last series watched: the mighty nein animated! my favourite of the campaigns so far, and i've been having a lot of fun seeing the story play out in a different format. also just as an animation student i can really appreciate it. i especially like how you can tell which d&d spell is being used at any given moment - chromatic orb is quite different from fireball, thunder step from misty step, etc.
last film watched: once again i am reminded to watch the new knives out. the last film that i watched was the old scrooge musical film from 1970. the netflix animated musical shares a few of its songs with this one. however, perhaps more of interest to some would be the film i watched before it, santa claus conquers the martians. it's as campy as it sounds, our family watch the mst3k version of it every year.
last song: ffxiv has me in a chokehold and its soundtrack is no different! as far as "song" by the definition of "has lyrics" goes, that would be "absolute tyranny" and "sinister" from the latest raid tier. completely different vibes, both very fun. i've also been listening to "more than truth" from the same game quite often, though not technically a song. it's a pleasant, contemplative rendition of "the maker's ruin," and is probably one of my favourite osts in the game.
sweet or salty: both is good. i like to have at least one sweet treat per day, but my antidepressants require i take a lot of salt, too. it's hard to choose, but i'd probably go salty.
coffee or tea: despite my typical username of deltaFrappuccino, the answer is easily tea. a good sweet coffee is a nice treat every once in a while, but a good boba tea is a treat that i will never pass up. as for the everyday, still tea. tania (our alter, we're not a group blog, we have DID) prefers coffee. heathen.
working on: aforementioned game jam visual novel! i'm also thinking of making a number of pieces imitating stained glass to represent each expansion of ffxiv i've played through thus far, and maybe collaborating on a fic with some friends telling the story from all of our warriors of light's perspectives. that's probably a way away, though. making bead bracelets as a hobby as well, as usual. aaaand just continuing ffxiv story/progressing into harder content.

My Star Gazing Deck will be released in game on 7.0!!!!! OMG can't express how happy i am!!!
Since someone asked, the three constellations are Emet-selch, Elidibus and Lahabrea's. It's sad that the in-game model deleted the Azem icon from my design, but at least they kept the constellations! XD
