What's it like working on comics on your own? Have any tips that could help artist that aspire to do the same?
Working on a comic i would say...obviously, its pretty difficult since i do all the sketching, lineworking, colouring, and all the details like the backgrounds..though its fun either way since i get to do work on something on my own and im passionate abt, yes its...time consuming and can get pretty tiring but its worth it at the end of the day imo..
It would be easier to have a couple of people work for my comic but, one: i dont have money to pay the people working, like i dont have money, none, not even a cent or a nickel.. two: im not a very good art director, i cannot like...explain it very well, yeah i can do the sketch n stuff but the thing is that uhm...my sketch looks like shit LMAO, three: i prefer this being a one person project, because its my passion, it wont be as fun if someone works for me and i do this for fun, i dont wanna be fast at creating comic panels or else..again ill get burnt out, i prefer taking it easy
Though to make it work, i do each step for the comic in a day, its hard to understand or explain it but basically
Day one: i create my panels first
Day two: i sketch and line art
Day three: i colour and do the backgrounds
Day four: i shade and do the details like...the speech n stuff
Basically like that so i have enough energy to finish the comic without being burnt out and rest and do my stuff after
Thoughh...im not very good at giving art tips or even comics, im still considered an immature artist, and im not experienced in doing webcomics or...like "high quality" comics in general because krattastrophe is my FIRST webcomic at the moment, you can see in the first episode of my comic that my art is..very different from now..
