They call me the cat artist because I can’t stop turning humans into cats.

Not a joke. It’s a serious problem and I can’t stop

Anyway I was really charmed by @ratsoupee’s grouptale au, all seven human souls falling at once and being friends. So, naturally, I felt that they needed to become felines for the world to be okay. And you know what? I was right.

Rain is so rabbit to me: small unassuming creature that prefers to hide but is also protective and WILL claw your eyes out. Clover gets a hat and bushy tail. Dot looks a lot like a dog but they’re actually a cat I promise, just very dog coded to me. Elise is mouse to me so they’re a peterbald. Percy’s stripes were hard to make work but I like what I did with the fur. I couldn’t make the apron work so I melded it into Tao’s fur. I am a chubby Frisk truther. Chara has a weirdly long tail because ghost and it’s fun ok (their colours were so difficult and I’m still not fully happy but it’s 1am and I’m done)

Feel free to use these designs when making fanart for the AU! I’d love to be tagged in it so I can see.

AHHHH THAT'S SO CUTE!!!

Percy continues to warrior-catify their friends

If you can't tell what this is due to tumblr compression, this is a roadmap of the seven souls traveling through the underground in my Grouptale/Seventale AU. I shall now take a dog nap because my brain completely shorted doing this.

Some notes:

  • In a theoratical Seventale game run, the player has a choice to diverge between different groups at certain points of the game where the group gets split up (Seen by the points marked X following Frisk's path). So each run has different scenarios, dialogues and encounters depending on where you choose to go (also making players tempted to restart the game when they get their ending)
  • Dalv in this au, is just chilling in the ruins. The Integrity soul hits him by accident from getting spooked. You can encounter him again post battle in Waterfall watching the snail race.
  • When Papyrus springs his bridge trap, the group accidentally falls over and ends up in lower Snowdin, where they play out the Martlet encounter. Martlet ends up helping you back to Snowdin town.
  • Ceroba in this au doesn't fight with you. She has long given up on finding a cure, but is heavy with grief. Your run with her in Steamworks is mainly you uncovering her backstory, and if you go back to the Dunes after, you can go on a sidequest to help Ceroba heal.
  • El Bailador is an optional battle wherein you dance to reignite his passion, as Mettaton's fame overthrew his dance stage. After his battle, you can find him again in the Wild East where he's organized a small dance club.
  • After fighting Asgore and Flowey, the story essentially runs the same, except you also go on additional quests with Martlet, Ceroba and Starlo.

Actually, I kind of want to revise on the idea of DT the more I think about it.

I had a thought along the line of what if instead of extracting DT from human souls, they tried extracting it from monsters? We know through Undyne that monster can actually make DT for themselves. It just requires alot of effort from the monster itself.

So maybe, Chujin first crafted the theory of bringing out latent DT from monsters, and how to extract it. He would try to make machines to do bring out latent DT power, but would fail each and everytime. Axis was made in attempt to help store that power, but Axis was... Well you know, Axis.

Note here that his first few works in his theory crafting had been published at the time, so a scientist in the future could reference his theory and work on from there

When Chujin did make a minor breakthrough, he had become weak from repeated experimentation on himself, and passed. Ceroba would take on his work, fine tuning it. It would become a device that could force out and amplify a monster's determination, and convert it to power. Kanako would then ask to be part of the experiment, which worked, but unfortunately cause her to fall down as the body could not handle so much DT power.

This would then lead into Alphys discovering it, and the true lab events to happen.

In summary, instead of extracting DT from humans, they instead learnt to bring out latent DT in monsters, and subsequently living things, which led to the amalgams and Flowey.

Someone’s probably already done this, but I made little sprites of @ratsoupee ‘s fallen children designs because I love them and they’re adorable.

Also the Frisk and Chara have my headcanons bc I made sprites for them like a week ago for a project I likely won’t finish lol.

Clover is mostly the same as their original sprite cuz I was saving my creative energy for the rest of the gang

AAAHHHHHH

*Aggressive pointing* AHHHHHHHHH

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

THIS IS SO GOOD YOU CAPTURED THEM SO WEELLLLLL!!!!

More Grouptale/Seventale stuff

ok but what abt children of neglect that grew up having to take care of themselves and now they reject any type of parental figure because they've never needed one

what abt it

You're so right, Clover and Percy own that title

Their talent is they can cook instant noodles and can say "You're not my mum!!1!!1!"

Anonymous asked:

your seventale au designs feel so accurate is because they all have stripes send ask

Undertale has alot of design motifs that as a character design standpoint, I fucking love, and I want to keep those motifs in my design. Of course the running design theme that 'Children wear stripes on their clothes' is something I wanted to keep, and it was fun figuring out how to incorporate that motif in the children.

Other design notes I realized later on after I did them:

  • All seven children don't have their hair going longer than their shoulders, they all have some variation of short hair
  • Tao and Dot's stripe motifs are not as obvious as the rest of them are. They are placed on the bottom half of their bodies instead of their shirts, and are made of few lines with a lighter color (Instead of complimentary colors, or clashing colors). They are also the two who are the oldest/most mature of the group, but they are still kids.
  • My favourite design is actually Rain. The environment dialogue surrounding Patience is really intriguing, and they always struck me as a child that was only patient out of survival, seen by the dialogue when you interact with the Ribbon, an item that belonged to the Patience Soul. Rain would make themselves small and unseeing, only so they wouldn't be caught in the crossfire.

I always like seeing how other people interpret characters that don't have official canon human designs (See Animation vs Minecraft). It tells a lot about how someone perceives a character, what aspect of a character design is integral to their personality, e.t.c. It's very fun.
