To this day I still don't believe that anyone actually thought you could generate infinite chocolate via an optical illusion. That's a thing people tell themselves to feel superior
The defining feature of tumblr is not "the website where people actually think infinite chocolate is possible", it is defined by a group of people refusing to break kayfabe, another group being genuinely confused by an optical illusion (NOT the same thing as thinking infinite chocolate is possible) and a third group who is certain they are a lot smarter than the other two.

The thing that abled people who advocate for the disabled community don’t get is that there are times when disabilities/accommodations clash. Horribly.
Like I spent years having to come up with a solution to get therapy dogs into a series of residence halls. Why years? Because we had to decide who got to stay and who got to leave: the people who needed therapy dogs or the people with severe allergies to animals. Who got the alternative housing?
Things like fidget toys might seem great for some disabled people but having them in the room could be distracting/overstimulating for others. The same goes with stimming. It can’t be helped but neither can the anxiety that another person in the room feels as they watch/hear it. Additionally, something like a weighted blanket might immediately calm one kid down and send the other one into a panic attack due to the claustrophobia it causes. (*Points to myself*)
Every Metro bus in New York City has a series of seats at the front that can be lifted up to accommodate people in wheelchairs but if I’m in one of those spots then someone with a cane/walker has to journey even further to sit down.
The flashing lights of a fire alarm are there to help deaf/hearing impaired but if they’re not properly timed, they can also cause a person to have a seizure.
The worst part about all of these is that there is rarely a concrete solution that makes everyone happy/safe. And I’m not here to offer any because I don’t know them. I’m just here to remind you all that as you’re taking your education/health classes, as you’re reading your textbooks, as you’re preparing to go be an advocate, just remember that there is rarely ever such a thing as a one-size-fits-all solution to advocacy and that something you do that can help one disabled person might actually hinder another.
Food for thought.
I have heard this referred to by some in the disability advocacy profession as “duelling disabilities” and it’s definitely something I wish people would be more mindful of when discussing accessibility.
another useful term is “competing access needs” or incompatible access needs.
“Dueling Disabilities” is more fun to say, but “Incompatible Access Needs” is better for a spirit of cooperation.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, trans men are not "lesser" men than cis men, but even if it were true that trans men were somehow adjacent to womanhood in a way that cis men are not, that would not imply they are less privileged over trans women and other transfeminized people.
cis men, cis women, trans men, and tme nonbinary people, are all privileged over transfeminized people on the basis of our being able to leverage transmisogyny while being able to dodge its worst effects.
any of us, literally any of us, if mistaken for transfeminized people can not only escape that accusation with the literal backing of the state's assignment, but also usually receive community support in the form of everyone insisting that this violence was wrongfully applied to us, rather than challenging the violence itself.
people are outraged on our behalf. this violence is not naturalized for us. it is incidental and invites righteous defense on our behalf. this is extremely not the case for transfeminized people.
it is transphobic in and of itself to argue that trans men are not "real" men on the basis of their being trans. it is also transmisogynistic in and of itself to argue that trans men (or tme nonbinary people, or cis women) are less capable of enacting and escaping forms of oppressive gendered violence on the basis of their being assigned female at birth.
the idea that a trans man is somehow less capable of (or rather, less accountable for) transmisogyny if remaining closeted as a cis woman is rooted in the very transmisogynistic worldview that trans women are identifying.
you cannot identify out of responsibility for your part in dismantling transmisogynistic systems of gender valuation. no one can. even transfeminized people themselves must constantly interrogate their own participation in these structures, for their sisters and their own survival. everyone must, but usually only transfems do. this is the issue.
worry less about what your gender "means" and more about the actual facts of your life and where you have power to make decisions in line with transfeminist liberation. literally, not as an abstracted notion of your class, but you as a person. as you move through your day to day life, be more conscious of how you move through gendered structures, and whenever you can, move the needle towards transfeminism.
one thing about tumblr at least here they’re just called “posts”. Saying “I saw this tweet/reel/tiktok/short” makes me feel like I’m ordering at a restaurant where they make you say Texas Tom’s Nut-Slappin Griddle-Chizzle instead of grilled cheese
I fully believe that conservatives do not want their tax dollars going to fund school lunches for children because they see children not as individual people but rather as extensions of their parents, and they view a child’s hunger as a moral failing of the parent to maintain their property rather than a hungry child being a vulnerable individual that deserves to be fed.
- neovaginas can get wet naturally
- a neophallus can get erect with an implant (this will either be a bendable rod or a device that inflates with saline at the press of a button, usually in the testicles)
- both can feel sexual pleasure and experience orgasm
- most neovaginas will be able to tolerate larger insertions with enough dilating/training
- the nerves in neophalluses take a while to regrow but it is incredibly rare to experience no sexual nerve growth
- both can look and feel "normal" if that's what you want, just take good care of your scars and look at your surgeons' results portfolio (and don't be afraid to be picky! its your genitals, you get to decide!)
- in fact it's possible for many people to stealth and for their sexual partners to never know. even for phallo, some people with natal penises have erectile implants too, ED is common. neocaginas are often indistinguishable from natal vaginas
- many surgeons are starting to offer preservation options for patients who want a more mixed look/don't want to lose what they have
