Hello Friends!

Profile picture drawn by @starshinenoa

I’m Robin, one of your local fnaf daycare attendant storytellers ! I love a good hurt/comfort story and I’m unable to write an unhappy ending.

Feel free to ask me question or shoot me a message just to chat! I promise I’m friendly!

(I am horrible at responding to things if I have low energy and I’m trash at keeping a conversation going. But I am friendly and I will try if you want to chat )

I am currently level 29 with -59 hit points 🥀

It had been a long time since you’d had a proper meal. Too long. But soon you’d finally sink your teeth into something filling.
Slowly, you slunk through the trees, tail swishing back and forth as you stalk your prey.
As you go to attack a small lamb that had wandered from the herd, two shepherds stop you!
They chase the wolf away from their flock and, as they do, they notice how scared and injured the creature looks.
Maybe they should help this poor creature.

I’m getting to work on this fic with the lovely @amarynthian-chronicles @lets-zofifi-stuff @amymaleneart ,and @ravenwriter16

Inky Smiles

Chapter 1
Flickering Lights

You’re an artist at Little Stars Animation Studio. One night you’re working late, trying to get a few things finished when stuff starts to get a little scary.
It might just be the old building or maybe a coworker playing tricks on you, but it’s got you on edge.
You just want to get home and turn all the lights on when the elevator drops you off on the wrong floor.
The only thing down here is a strange machine… what’s it doing here?

“To be lost, and to be found… that is the lifespan of love.”

after volunteering at a harm reduction agency for a couple months i can confidently say that addicts and homeless people (and homeless addicts) are not the boogeymen people make them out to be. they all just want coffee and candy. there's all this fear mongering and meanwhile your local addict is just some guy drinking a double double with slightly smaller pupils than normal.

and before you bring up a bad thing an addict has done, please remember that sober people have also done bad shit and that the majority of addicts are totally safe to be around. if you want to talk about how scary addicts are, i will talk about all the customers i had at my old job who made me fear for my life. stop fear mongering and start actually meeting addicts. yes, they can be scary, but so can anybody. fear mongering about addicts only leads to discriminatory policies and policing, which increases violence against them and worsens the problem.

the scariest thing about addiction isn't the addicts. it's the blood on the hands of politicians.

I identify the most with the woman who has a green velvet ribbon around her neck and keeps being like "DONT untie my neck ribbon or something really bad will happen" and then her husband unties the ribbon and her head falls off. this is extremely real to me. spent my whole life like "please don't do this thing to me or really bad stuff will happen" and everyone around me being like "that sounds fake" and doing it anyway. and then my head fell off!

Thinking about the Holmes story where a blind girl goes to him and is like "My fiancé is missing and he kept telling me the week leading up to his disappearance that he would always love me and come back for me,were anything to happen so I think he knew he was in trouble and I love him so much and I'm going to wait for him but I'd like to find him faster,ya know?" And Holmes figures out that it was this girl's parents to scam her out of money she was owed from an estate which she gave to them because she was still living at home, which she wouldn't be if she ever married,so her step father PRETENDED TO DATE HER for MONTHS to keep her from ever getting engaged to a real person and when Holmes finds out he confronts this man and this man is like "Well, you caught me! But it wasn't illegal:) so:)" and Holmes is like "No,but it was sickening and cruel and if she had a brother or good male friend he should post you up and whip you but she doesn't." And the man is like "No,she doesn't." And does the Victorian version of sticking his tongue out and Holmes is like "Well,I guess I'll do then!" And HE PULLS OUT HIS HUNTING WHIP.

context according to instagram:

original image from the magazine:

The caption reads: "Defeated by roses. Near Turin's Lingotto station, along a lonely path, Miss Guida Concetta Rinino, 28 years old, who was bringing a nice bunch of roses to a relative, was accosted by an unknown young man. The young woman, rather than losing heart, defended herself with extraordinary energy, using the bunch of flowers as a weapon. So it was that the scoundrel, his face all scratched up, had to flee. (Drawing by Walter Molino.)"

Incredible. At a distance I understand how the woman might appear to be the abuser and the man the sympathetic victim, but the second you zoom into the man’s face the pink-cheeked rage- not remorse, or rejection, or embarrassment- not heartbreak or despair- but RAGE- the deeper story speaks itself into your suspicions.

And the bit where they’re HER roses? Almost a relief, but also sadder, as she will arrive at whatever event without them, or with them destroyed.

Do you think when the righteous anger and anxiety and annoyance fade, when she arrives at her destination- will her loved ones applaud her? Will she be proud? Will her hands shake? Will she walk home with company from then out, and for how long?

In this moment, she is provoked into anger. Anger is good- it appears strong. But look at his face. Would you put it past him to linger there after dark, in case she returns alone?

What story will HE tell, of ‘I was perfectly polite, but she didn’t even give me a chance- women like that, they’d swoon for a jerk in a heartbeat, but kind and flattering men like me?…”

I love this piece. It paints both stories while illustrating the power dynamics and struggles at play. This should be shown in art classes

Look, it’s a weird hill to die on, especially when I don’t really explain, but children deserve to experience fear, disgust, and discomfort in safe scenarios where they can process those sensations.

Media for children used to be scary and that’s important.

“Since it is so likely that (children) will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise you are making their destiny not brighter but darker.” ― C.S. Lewis

Opening emergency commissions!

More art examples here and my prices here!

Long story short, my partner and I got hit financially with some really unfortunate circumstances these past two months. Namely taking our kitty to the emergency vet, follow-up vet visits, a long overdue oil change, and long overdue car inspection.

We're now at least $1,400 behind on everything.

I really don't want to have to ask for help again after y'all generously helped us out with our fridge a while back, but I'm desperate. I don't want to see my partner shed any more tears over this after they already work so hard for us as it is. So I wanna try to lighten the burden for them if I can.

You're also welcome to donate, but please don't feel obligated!! I know everyone is struggling rn, so reblogging to share is just as super duper greatly appreciated too!

I put the goal up on ko-fi for the 1.4k. I do not expect to reach it, but it's there visually!

I hope y'all have a wonderful day/night, and thank you so much for taking the time to read this! 🙇💖💖
