- in my head their dynamic is basically half nene worship half genuinely just being in love with each other's habits
- demi x demi/bi x bi disaster poly relationship... also it's pretty much triple yuri if u think about it
- flower girlboy x flower girl x flower girl
- i headcanon that they take turns for dates except when it's time for hanaaoi they sit down and yap to each other about nene for an hour
- hanako & aoi don't really show much affection bc their side of the poly isn't as powerful, but they do nice things for each other sometimes. they're kind of connected by nene, but it's not like they'll stop hanging out if nene cut ties with one of them (unless nene's genuinely mad, of which both of them would team up to rectify)
- meanwhile, they shower nene with endless affection and care and love and gifts and they have a schedule of switching around so nene is never alone (though if she asks for space they'll give it to her... but hanako sticks hakujoudai on her virtually 24/7 anyways)
- the two are never letting nene see a "hot man" (despite the fact that nene would never look at them any more) and they just push themselves between the two and shower nene with even more affection as if to make sure everyone knows that nene is taken (hanako does his best to drag nene in the other direction since most people can't see him lmfao)
- aoi just straight up attaches herself to nene's side whenever she's feeling protective, and oftentimes hanako will join them on nene's other side. bodyguard idiots and their most beloved princess
- every time there's some sort of special event for nene (eg. her birthday) there will be almost a schoolwide operation where both the queen of popularity and the leader of the seven mysteries will pull every string to give nene the most perfect day possible. they're forbidden from going too overboard by the princess herself though (the first time they did this, they retransformed the whole school gardens in one night with roses and flowers and balloons from nene's favorite romance book, which aoi crossreferenced for the decorations. hanako argued with yako for an hour on going out to buy heart balloons)
- nene's just as adorable to them ofc since she loves both of them so refreshingly that she'd make donuts for hanako and raspberry pie for aoi on a whim and then after giving it to them innocently just walks away without knowing how hard the two are reaffirming their need to protect her forever
and about akane, if i'm feeling truly delusional i will put aoi in the middle of her own protective bodyguards situation with teru and akane (but they all know she's capable of protecting herself ofc) but as of now hanaaoinene possessive idiots is my soul so
