Lost Boy?
I keep wondering about thatJapanese promotional booklet. The movie, novel and promotional material - everything! - is titled ロストボーイ(Lost Boy) rather than ロストボーイズ (Lost Boys). That’s got to be intentional? That was a deliberate choice that was made, right? Because framing the Japanese is the English title and the plural s is there.
So, OK. On the back of the booklet is a framed photo of Sam Emerson. On the cover it’s his face that dominates the lower center and he’s there again next to Edgar on the far left.
I just wonder! Why did they lose that s? Why Lost Boy and not Lost Boys are per the direct phonetic translation? Is the focus on Sam because of Corey Haim’s popularity? Part of his appeal as one of the two Coreys?
OR!
Is Sam Emerson the lost one? The vampires have each other and they’re gaining Michael. Sam is the one losing his brother. Is Sam the Lost Boy?

OK but Dwayne is so beautiful and so utterly unbothered by Michael shoving him away. I love him! And Paul bottom right with his hands on his hips is just a solid 10/10. I wouldn’t object to him looking at me like that while he tries to figure me out. Can stare at these gifs for ages!

Obsessive Dwayne, you say? I can absolutely provide.
- Dwayne just can't help himself, he always has to be close to you. He doesn't want to share you with anyone, not even the boys. If one of them tries their luck, he'll make sure his arm around your back and hand on your shoulder are painfully obvious to them. It's a rare event for you to be around them without Dwayne's arm around you, holding you close to him.
- He doesn't like it when people ogle you - he'll glower and glare at them, as if he were some sort of large, imposing dog that could scare them out of their daze. Well, most of the time, it did. People's gazes would divert, and you'd be left alone for the rest of the night.
- Sometimes he'll disappear for an hour or so after he catches someone staring at you - especially if they refuse to stop staring at you once he's glared at them for a few minutes. He'll bring back a corpse - typically, without it's head - for you to have the remains of. He refuses to tell you where exactly the impromptu dinner come from, but you know. You know it's the ones from the boardwalk, even if he'll never outright tell you. It's somewhat regular - at least once or twice a week. In his head, it's justified. Those people are eyeing you like their next meal, but you're not. You're his, and only his.
- He'll shower you in trinkets - things that he's found, or had Marko make for him with his specific style in mind - just so you'll wear or display them. If you don't wear them, he's not insulted, but he will keep looking for things for you to wear until you find something that you like or are fond of. He wants it to be clear who you're with. Very rare is it that he's in a good enough mood to play the 'game' of tempting others.

Oh man I remember first watching The Covenant and being so struck by the Lost Boys comparison! I really enjoyed the movie, too. A definite guilty pleasure where I watch, daydream and shamelessly insert myself in imaginary scenes and scenarios.

I’d definitely be a quick and forgettable meal in the Lost Boys realm but Dwayne is very hard to resist, even in vampire form. I love seeing the details of the eyes - I feel like the red really makes them stand out. I also like seeing the eyeliner detail and how subtle (from this angle) the protruding eyebrows look.
