diva manhandled and rescued by mack and toff (ft. evan rodrigues probably whispering sht to will lol)

• i've noticed throughout the time without will being here, mack has changed his warmup routine; the first night will was gone, mack spent considerable time stick handling alone in a corner when he usually would be passing with will. while he still does some stick handling in his corner, it's much more abbreviated now and he spends more time shooting around with the team. he does however still flip the pucks into the net at the very end like how they used to do together. will come back your boy misses you
• anytime mack touches the puck and starts moving it up the ice the entire arena gets sooo loud. it is electric every time he's in control and you can feel it in the tank (even if it didn't pay off tonight, he's still just so incredible to watch)
• at one point near the end of the game, mack's line was skating out to take a faceoff and mack hooked his chin on cherny's shoulder while they were talking. i wish i'd gotten a picture, they're so cute to me augh
• after one of the sharks power plays in the third, when mack came off he slammed the gate. it was very very loud and swung open again and ned had to close it
• he looked utterly despondent the last 10ish minutes of the game. at one point he was just hunched forward on the bench and i thought he was looking at video but he shifted forward without moving anything so i think he was literally just contemplating
• we HATE the golden knights. which is well established, but one fun detail: during the anthem's lyrics "gave proof through the night," everyone boos at "night" lmfaooo it's so good
• i think it's well known by now but will never not be sweet to me: every time mack goes on the ice after a goal or a rough patch, he skates down to asky and taps his pads. number one goalie lover
