Part of me misses the way fanfiction was in the 90's. There were so many fansites and so many fanfiction sites for specific ships, fandoms, things like that.

Don't get me wrong, I love A03 and appreciate everything that the staff/volunteers do.

I just miss the fun of looking up specific fandoms for fanfiction. I miss finding single sites dedicated to specific ships, fandoms, friendships, characters, things like that.

Fans used to be so creative with their sites. With backgrounds. Headers. Banners. I miss it so much. AOL Hometown had some GREAT fanfiction sites. Yahoo. Geocities. Tripod.com. Man, I miss it like crazy.
