if the rest of the Harry Potter characters were judged with the same logic Snape haters use:

Molly Weasley didn’t kill Bellatrix Lestrange until Bellatrix threatened Ginny. So Molly was fine with Bellatrix murdering and torturing everyone else just not her own daughter. Selfish.

Harry Potter was a violent, anti-social terrorist from childhood. Remember when, at thirteen, he attacked and blew up a defenseless old Muggle woman (Aunt Marge) like a balloon and tossed her out like trash? If the Ministry hadn’t stepped in, he probably would’ve killed her.

Minerva McGonagall should’ve been tried for discrimination. She deliberately crushed the spirits of poorer students like Ron Weasley by gifting Harry a fancy broom, proving she only cared about stroking her favorites’ egos.

If James Potter really loved Lily and Harry, he would never have married Lily or had a child at all, then the prophecy wouldn’t exist, Lily wouldn’t have died, and Harry wouldn’t have grown up an orphan.

Sirius Black literally killed James and Lily, if he actually cared about James, he would never have doubted Remus Lupin, and never suggested Peter as Secret Keeper. The Potters would still be alive.

Sirius Black didn’t care about Harry either, he only saw James in him. If he truly cared, instead of drowning in booze and self-pity, he would’ve dealt with his traumas properly. Maybe then he wouldn’t have done something so stupid as running off to the Ministry to get himself killed.

Harry deserved to get killed by Draco’s curse in that bathroom. that’s what you get for stalking and obsessing over another student like a creep.

I've just started rereading HBP, and Spinner's End is such a fantastic chapter for so many reasons. But one of the highlights is the implication that Snape has been making Wormtail clean his house and bring him drinks. He might not have been able to get revenge against the rest of the Marauders, but at least he got Wormtail! I would love nothing more than to read that interaction.

That Severus Snape is the one you’re saying isn’t queer-coded at all? Do you even know what being queer-coded means, or have you just never opened a single damn book in the series?

Besides reading fanfics where the characters aren’t actually canon but rather the inventions of a few clueless kids who just slapped canon names onto their OCs, do you know anything about the real characters in the series? Because having the audacity to say that Severus Snape—the literal archetype of a boy who doesn’t fit in with the rest because he lacks the traits of traditional masculinity—is the least queer-coded of his generation? That’s either a complete failure in reading comprehension or proof that you haven’t read a single page, my dear.
