Animate Orlando 2025
I had an incredible weekend and I wanna journal about it so I don't forget a single detail. Enjoy my ramblings.
- Overall, an amazing con. Smaller than Mega, cheaper than Mega, just as many things to do and buy and see. 10/10
- I got to meet SO MANY PEOPLE.
- Brett Iwan: Got to say hi to him again, he said hi to Ben again, a nice time in general.
- Bill Farmer: He got right down to say hi to Ben, held his hands, and barked at him like Pluto. Ben immediately perked up and even barked back. Pluto and Ben had a doggie conversation.
- Judy Kuhn: She waved 'wingapo' at me from her table and I just asdkjfhasjdkh.
- Linda Larkin: I waited for her to come back from her table and I had my little Jasmine doll from the 90s. I showed her and said hi and of course immediately started crying. She gave me a hug, took a picture, and didn't charge me a dime.
- Jodi Benson: I went up to say hi and told her that her hair was beautiful.
- Paige O'Hara: Got another picture of Paige with mom. She said she was having dinner with Jodi later. Very casual.
- Susan Egan: I said that Meg was a Disney princesses in my heart but Susan said she was something in between a princess and a villain, she's her own thing.
- David Errigo Jr: I showed him my Oswald and we got some pictures. I also showed him all my Oswald drawings and asked him about the new Oswald show. He said he actually had no idea about it until they started filming so even he didn't know much about it. He hopes Oswald will talk and that he'll be the one to voice him again but we'll have to wait and see.
- Steve Whitmire: We thanked him for being our Kermit and we missed Rizzo. He/Rizzo said hi to us in return. I gave him an extra Hollywood Studios map with Muppet Vision 3D still on it since he said he never got one.
- Kevin Clash: He sang Elmo's song to Ben. I cry.
- Brandon Rogers: We went up to say hi and they let us put Ben on the table.
- Richard Horvitz: He came through the curtain where Bill and Brett were because he heard there was a dog and came in to pet Ben.
- Kimiko Glenn: She literally came out from around her table to say hi to Ben dressed as Husk.
- Vivienne Medrano: Every person at the Spindlehorse table stopped to look down at Ben dressed as Husk. Viv asked for a picture and let us take one free of charge. She even posted Ben on her Instagram.
- Bryce Pinkham: Finally got to meet this lovely man and showed him my Stolas pin collection. I told him I loved his voice and he did a little Stolas for me and I melted into the floor. He signed my pin board and asked for my name and wrote "Oh Melissa~" and I melted further into the floor. I signed up for his email list to join in on workshop sessions on singing and voice acting in NYC. I really hope I get to go one day.
Ever notice how any time someone calls you "cringe", 99 times out of 100 what they mean is "you're happy and I don't like it"
No one ever calls bullying cringe. No one ever calls rudeness cringe. No one ever calls toxic negativity cringe. Only hobbies get called cringe. Only enjoying things get called cringe. Only jokes and mannerisms and interests get called cringe.
And this is how I know I'm an adult because I truly and unequivocally do not give a fuck anymore.

Happy Pride~
I come back to this hellsite for two minutes. I thought I was done. I thought I was done forever. But then those two minutes turned into 27 minutes and I have laughed, thought about how much the world sucks, thought about how beautiful the world is, thought about getting absolutely railed my sketchbook out, and now it's time to go to bed and I have all these stupid thoughts.
