i was digging through some old stuff looking for old pokemon cards and i found my old cipher collection given to me by a friend (hi tobey if u r reading this 👋) and god i forgot how fucking cool cipher is. i miss this. also i dont have an inigo card how fucked up is that

When I was in high school we did an english unit on Octavia Butler and the teacher told us hey btw. You should call her "Butler" in your essays. Sometimes students call female writers by their first names unconsciously, but that's not acceptable. If you wouldnt call them William or Ernest you shouldn't call her Octavia.
And I was like cool whatever I was gonna call her Butler anyways. But that moment has stuck with me for my whole life because once you start seeing ppl calling women by their first names where men would be called by their last names you literally never stop seeing it.

@ people who carry bags everywhere what do you put in them what is there to bring other than chapstick, keys, phone and maybe a tampon why are you packing a suitcase to be outside for 5 hours
#i try to bring tampons and pads in case someone needs one and has a preference#and like. if IM on my period. theres like 7 pads in there idgaf#and then i need a water bottle and i hate to carry that by hand so it must fit in the bag#i bring pens just in case#spare lipgloss in case whatever i left the house in rubs off. people treat me better when i have it on i fear </3#3ds. earbud case. phone charger. hand sanitizer. hand lotion.#i also have a charm of inigo that i lost the clasp to so i just carry him around. this i will concede is a waste of space#but it makes me happy. so#HAIR TIES. i have since upgraded to thicker hair ties which dont snap on me so this is less useful nowadays#but it never hurts to have a spare for people who need it. or just for tying things#pepper spray also not that i know how to use my new one but i’ll figure it out#mini comb (see the ‘people treat me better’ thing) and a nail file for when my nail breaks and i dont want it to tear#i could use clippers but one thing about me. i will lose that.#and if i have room. spare bra#YOU NEVER KNOW#wait how did i forget. painkillers and allergy medicine. duh.
