Headcanon that when Chuuya first joined the mafia, he was a notorious clothes stealer.
It was a habit he learned from being with The Sheep. Hand-me-downs and clothes sharing was commonplace, especially in their earlier days. Chuuya's first outfit that wasn't rags was all shared clothes that Shirase had collected from The Sheep.
So when he joined the mafia, it was still second nature to him. Was the blazer he came home in the same one he left in? No, the cuff links aren't there, nevermind, it was still mafia clothes.
Albatross never had a problem with it, so Chuuya still didn't question it. Their clothes were similar sizes, swapping jackets and borrowing shirts was normal to them.
However as he got older, started developing his own style, and getting his clothes tailor made, he started caring more about losing them. He stopped taking other people's clothes realising it was not a common thing amongst his colleagues. Especially, after his promotion, it didn't feel right to take from his subordinates.
There was one person whose casual clothes still found their way into his wardrobe. It wasn't his fault if Dazai kept leaving sweaters and cardigans at Chuuya's apartment and never claiming them again. Honestly, sometimes Chuuya swore he only ever saw Dazai wear them once, to his place and then he left them completely forgotten about.
After Dazai defected, Chuuya kept wearing his clothes. Sometimes, on nights where he was in his feelings and perhaps a little bit tipsy, Chuuya would curl himself up inside one of Dazai's sweaters and fall asleep on his sofa.

If there's one thing I'd like to learn more in TWST is how the previous year was. Partly because of the now fourth-years that we have yet to meet, but also because I'd like to know more about the previous housewardens.
Leona, Riddle and Malleus are already such a disaster of a trio that I'm more and more convinced that one of the only things keeping everything afloat was Riddle's stubborness actively pushing so that everyone could at least work together. Like what do you mean they had to actually go to Diasomnia to get Malleus.
Okay that Leona and Malleus can be very reliable when the situation calls for it, but they're usually the last resorts, mostly used when there's an Overblot or Cataclysm, preferring to offer counsel most of the time.
In other words, senior housewardens trio is basically Riddle dealing (and stressing) about everything while the other two bicker and offer advice that either helps or makes everything way worse (though it's usually both things at the same time). So I can only imagine how the other four housewardens were, but part of me believes things were way worse before.
And the fun thing for any outside threats is that, if they manage to get past the magic prodigy with an insane UM, there's still a Lion and a literal Dragon to deal with. Like "congrats, you defeated the little rose." "That 'rose' summoned a FIRE TORNADO!!" "Indeed. We're very proud of its progress."
Can I just say that I love how Sandrone hates Dottore's guts not because of his cruelty, unethical research practices and general evil behavior, but because he's the worst lab partner ever?
He literally checks every box:
- Leaves messes all over the place for others to clean up? Check.
- Flagrantly disregards safety protocols? Check.
- Changes a whole bunch of variables in his experiments at once, making it impossible to tell which one did what? Check.
- Keeps secrets so no one ever knows what deranged nonsense he's done? Check.
- Short attention span means the lab is littered with junk from half-finished projects? Check.
- Repeatedly breaks expensive equipment out of carelessness? Check.
- Motivated reasoning means his experimental designs are hot garbage? Check.
No wonder he got expelled from the Akademiya. I bet his lab notebook is an unmitigated disaster and he steals reagents from Sandrone's bench.

So, if Yao Guang is coming to Planarcadia, why not one of the other Arbiter Generals as well?
In other words, can we please get Huaiyan in the next region? Blade is getting a new SP form, so it'd be interesting if he could actually meet his old master, especially when you consider how Yunli's voicelines show that Huaiyan still remembers him fondly, to the point that she sees Blade in a favourable light.
Also that'll probably be the best time to see how the Mara still hasn't completely taken over...
That moment when you think your old apprentice has been lost to the Mara, becoming a criminal responsible for many deaths, only to suddenly meet him on the streets of Planarcadia, surprisingly lucid and carrying a mountain of plushies and bags for a teenager (also a criminal) who is currently attempting to drag him to the nearest Arcade, rambling about how she hasn't found the limited-edition surprise plushie the Masked Fools advertised.
actually you know what that's exactly it i would rather someone add 5 parantheticals after every sentence than use tone indicators it's 1. accomplishing SO much more in terms of clarity 2. extremely funny to look at depending on how they're used
observe:
"is this real? /gen" — i thought /gen meant "general" for ages. i would not be able to understand this on first sight a few years ago and is thus ineffective
"is this real? (genuine question)" — i fully understand this without issue
"is this real? (genuine question) (can't tell) (very realistic) (looks real) (scary) (photoshop?)" — is not only incredibly clear it's also very funny to read all of these thoughts stapled together while also in their own parentheses. it's also the most useful because now i can actually address all parts of what they are asking me with as much specificity as BOTH of us need
parentheses my beloved (they are for bonus thoughts) (and questions) ( and sidetracks) (like a 2nd conversation on top of the first)
people talk about how we need to bring back "don't feed the trolls" rhetoric for modern internet ragebait and I agree but also I think the most useful thing from the Old Internet that I miss is LURKING
be a lurker. just read things and think about them without feeling the need to weigh in or call out or disseminate everything you encounter. it's so nice and so freeing and it's a good way to learn things.
I have frequently regretted getting involved in shit that didn't involve me online but you know what I've never regretted doing? Lurking. literally lurk moar
