I don’t think I’ve encountered a better cinematic moment in a video game ever.

You’re both so fucking tired and physically and emotionally totalled, and you get to sit with each other in the path of the weapon that ends the war and stare at the home you’re about to save.

And then Anderson dies.

And Shepard has to get up.

Small headcanons consisting of how the girls physically lean on each other.

Mira has Zoey at perfect chin resting height and subsequently will always rest her chin atop Zoey's head if given the chance. Rumi is used in the same sense but as an arm rest instead

Rumi, being a very stable person (only physically), always gets used by the other two to hold onto if they're having trouble putting on a shoe or something

Zoey just has amazingly soft skin which Rumi and Mira love nuzzling against. When given the chance they will smush their faces into any skin available

This phrase has already entered my vocabulary re: media criticism where like. The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.

"This show is problematic because the hero didn't kill the villain at the end": When does he steal the bread?

"These two characters who were close friends throughout the series don't kiss at the end! What the fuck?": When does he steal the bread?

"This feels like it's missing a conclusion! Like, the protagonist does bad stuff and because of a critical decision he makes as a result of his major character flaws, meets tragedy in the end! Where's the part where he learns better and brings is love back from the dead and becomes a good guy and gets a happy ending?": When does he steal the fucking bread??

I heard this out as "When criticizing something, you must judge it for what it is, not what it isn't"

#this is why so many of us urge people to get a wider diet of stories

IT'S RIGHT THERE.

I saw on one post earlier this week that "unfortunately", diverse content (poc, queer, lesbian, ect) from Indies are not enticing because it's A) not readily accessible and in their faces, and B) not as high quality as what they're used to.

DO NOT. BE. THAT. PERSON. Straight people, especially Cis White men voted with their wallets. We should have done that a lot more with the Indie scene. Yes, that means searching for it. Yes, that means doing more than reblogging a cool little project and putting your dollars where your mouth is. Indie creators can't GET funding if even those who demand such content won't.... support it? Vote with your wallets. I promise you, there's no better victory for a racist White guy than seeing us complain that the content isn't there, then coming up with whatever excuse is on that overused dartboard for why you turned away from the content you swore up and down you wanted to see. Because that "high quality" content can't be built on nothing, and they have to start somewhere.

So let's not vote the same exact way a man who spams "woke" like some pissant. "Thoughts and prayers" was a GREAT phrase to describe reblogging and doing little else. We have to be ready to BE more for the people creating this content we want. Like, follow me en masse if you REALLY want someone to find the stuff for you!

Anypoo, I'm just a little salty that we have this classical painting of a visual novel with AN ALL BLACK CAST about to fail its campaign because too many people thought just sharing it on social media was enough. The production value of the demo is INSANE, given the creator funded it with a Walmart payroll. And they're giving the first game out for free. I can't fathom what more some of you could want!

Vote with your wallets. Not (just) with a repost.

If anything, I do agree that there should be more rampant discussion about finding and supporting the real niche stuff. The overused dartboard analogy is pretty apt.

90 fics in 6 months is definitely a record for me

daily streak is still pretty likely for another couple of weeks at least too but I made my silly goal. first it was 'oh I could probably make it to 30 days! then 90, then 100, etc etc'

Honestly a huge reason that happened is I do not like posting two fics in the same fandom twice in one day, though I've made a couple of exceptions today included.

I'll keep motivating myself a bit this way 'oh if I work on this today I can get to the end of the month!'

Congratulations! And to be able to keep up the level of quality you have the entire time as well, it's genuinely inspiring. I know for a fact I've found the energy to keep writing after reading your work on more than one occasion and I can't wait to keep up with your future fics too!

I have so many ideas and the time to write them, I'm glad it's inspiring others!
